| So Natasha friend Megan was a witness for Kane. After spending weeks/months helping Natasha prepare for court she all of a sudden turned on her and was a witness for Kane and Natasha lost the girl. This was going Covid. She said she doesn’t know why she did that but that Megan was always really obsessed w the show. |
I disagree. I think Natasha is doing an important service. I have a sibling who is like Kane. It is a confusing and disturbing world when you are in it and it not only helped me understand my own experience more, but it made me all the more empathetic for sibling's ex. Also, I have heard too many stories of someone's best friend turning on them-2 cases where the best friend slept with the person's husband so different, but such a disturbing betrayal. Natasha is talking about some really painful experiences that make people feel crazy and alone. The podcast became popular because people needed to hear this and relate and feel less crazy. I honestly don't think it's just about the fact Kane was famous. It's about bringing to light what goes on behind closed doors for some people. Because I came from abuse in my family of origin-both a sibling and a parent, I made a good choice in a spouse. I knew the red flags and got out of a lot of bad relationships quick before things turned ugly. I dodged many a bullet. No matter how much therapy I get, there is a part of me that is broken and still feels like I am the only one and I deserved it. Podcasts like this help me to put the abuse in it's place, remind me that I am not alone and help me appreciate the life I have created. |
It’s easy to paint a story about someone now that the other person is dead. |
If I show you then I know you Won't tell what I said. 'Cause two can keep a secret If one of them is dead. |
And it’s very easy to paint a story when you have millions, a literal radio audience and influence. He painted ann untrue picture of her for years. A classic narcissistic abuser. |
Just hear to say I'm glad you found a good relationship! Too many of us that have dealt with a lot of trauma and abuse keep repeating the life/picking bad relationships since that is all we know I'm happy to hear you found your way! <3 |
OMG HERE*** (to say) how embarrassing |
| Did anyone listen to yesterday’s episode? Natasha addressed how she’s able to stay at home. |
Yes, I heard it. She all but called out DCUM by name, lol. |
I thought that was funny too. I am surprised that she didn’t request that he have life ins for the child support too. Unless that is what she meant by the girls being covered by life insurance. She just called out the alimony directly so seems odd she didn’t say that for the child support. |
Haven’t listened but I’m assuming she stays home thanks to life insurance? I wonder how long they’re going to try to drag this out for and what they’ll talk about once they’ve hashed / rehashed / rehashed again every second of the kane era |
He had an insurance policy from when she was owed alimony. He never canceled it after she remarried so that is part of the money. The money supporting the girls (food, clothes, housing) comes from a life insurance policy he left them. There focus after the first three shows isn’t really about just Kane. They’ve parlayed it into shows focused on addiction support, divorce support, narcissistic abuse, etc. Yesterday’s show was sort of an AMA and how Natasha can afford to not work was one of the most asked questions. |
| She’s also getting alimony and child support from the second ex, so she’s a pro at this. I think there’s more to Peter’s death than she’s letting on. |
|
I wonder if she’s glad how it played out in the end - got the kids to herself, got to still be rich thanks to Kane, got enough public notoriety to try to “be someone” and have her little “tribe” which she never could have built without kanes celebrity
I’m sure (hope) she wishes her daughters hadn’t had the pain but it does seem like in the end she “won” and got everything she wanted thanks to Kane |
I’d love love love to know his perspective on everything |
