They are now doing a five part series. This is starting to be a bit much...I guess Sarah gets a lot of listens with this particular topic, but seems odd to center your podcast on your former bosses' ex wife if you're trying to build your own career.
I agree. They are milking this, but I have a feeling they have nothing else to talk about. Nobody was listening to Sarah’s podcast before this. The woman barely speaks in complete sentences and Natasha is pulling the “suicide” card now. It sounds disingenuous, but it whatever pulls in listeners, right?
I disagree. I think Natasha is doing an important service. I have a sibling who is like Kane. It is a confusing and disturbing world when you are in it and it not only helped me understand my own experience more, but it made me all the more empathetic for sibling's ex. Also, I have heard too many stories of someone's best friend turning on them-2 cases where the best friend slept with the person's husband so different, but such a disturbing betrayal. Natasha is talking about some really painful experiences that make people feel crazy and alone. The podcast became popular because people needed to hear this and relate and feel less crazy. I honestly don't think it's just about the fact Kane was famous. It's about bringing to light what goes on behind closed doors for some people. Because I came from abuse in my family of origin-both a sibling and a parent, I made a good choice in a spouse. I knew the red flags and got out of a lot of bad relationships quick before things turned ugly. I dodged many a bullet. No matter how much therapy I get, there is a part of me that is broken and still feels like I am the only one and I deserved it. Podcasts like this help me to put the abuse in it's place, remind me that I am not alone and help me appreciate the life I have created.
Just hear to say I'm glad you found a good relationship! Too many of us that have dealt with a lot of trauma and abuse keep repeating the life/picking bad relationships since that is all we know I'm happy to hear you found your way! <3
