All this fighting for that lol TJ is a joke. The top 5% got into elite institutions that's it. Those folks would have been equally successful at their base school. Everyone else would have better results coming from their base school and being in the top 1-3%. |
For the thousandth time, the point of TJ is not to get into elite colleges. The point is the experience there — with specialized classes and a unique peer group. My kids loved their time at TJ and had a great experience while there. They and we were never focused on college admissions. |

Keep in mind that several students received a full-ride scholarship to the T10 colleges. At least one of them rejected Harvard’s acceptance for that reason.
My DC who just graduated is working as a software engineer intern this summer - because they were able to take a lot of advanced CS courses at TJ. |
TJ students caught on that UVA sucks for CS and Engineering. |
Very impressive. Congratulations to TJ class of 2022! |
No Pitt? |
Great to see all 3 military academies represented on the list! Congrats to the class. This year was brutal! |
TJ has the best college acceptances of any public high schools in the country. |
265/450 (about 60%) going to top schools and this list is only a partial list of about 70-80% of students so full numbers will be even higher.

Congrats for amazing results! |
Even more amazing since TJ class of 2022 is about 70% Asians and Asians are openly discriminated against in college admissions. |
I think your attitude is not the norm there. I respect and actually agree with you. I just think it is not typical of a TJ family. |
