| VA Metro also has on top of what the PP said, a D1 ODU commit and a couple more D3 commits. Congrats to all the girls.. |
Seriously? JMU is consistently a Top 20, if not top 15 program and has won a national championship. |
It blows my mind that people constantly bash these kids on their college choices. These kids have their reasons and not everyone wants to go to those Top 10 schools. Some want a smaller school. Some will go "lower" for a better chance at playing. Some just 'click' with the team and school. You never know. All of these girls committing should be proud regardless if it is a top 10 D1 program or not. |

That’s great- if your daughter can get into Michigan without
Lacrosse, send her there. |
| Reading this post from the outside looking in, it’s pretty ridiculous and crazy that seems to be one person maybe two totally crushing 16 year old girls for their college choices. Maybe try instead of breaking young ladies or boys down, ever think of building them up and congratulating them? Everyone hs their specific reasons for choosing their college and doesn’t have to align with what you are thinking. For the one or two bashers in this post, get a life. |
| Girls who commit by October of their Junior year had plenty of options. Hope that glass house works out for you. |
|
Now that you crushed all the girls in the DC area, are you now going to set your sites on all the girls posting on toplaxrecruits and bash them…..
|
JMU is known as a party school and has an 80% acceptance rate. |
| Apparently your daughter really came up flat on the recruiting front. Explains your bitterness and need to criticize 16-yr old girls who succeeded where you failed. |
For kids who live in Va, it also has in state tuition price. Amongst the top programs, who don’t need to hand out scholarships to get top players, that is appealing. And there are thousands of successful JMU grads in the DC area for future networking. |
| Lots of factors!! Any kid who plays a sport in college - especially DI - shouldn’t be criticized. Its a lot of work to get there and a lot while they are there. |
| Capital has another D1, to Butler. |
It is not as much of a party school as Radford. But sheesh, be happy for these players, who chose the school and lax program that was the best fit for THEM (not you). |
| What kills me is there seems to be 1 or 2 haters on the girls side that continues to put down every 16 year old that commits to their university of choice. I would love to put this person on the field to play against some of these young ladies and see how they fair…. Congrats to all the nova kids on their commitment regardless of division or school |
Maybe put them in the classroom to compete since the criticism seems to be about academic standing not lacrosse. |
