Nuetral, but I agree with this take. Bullis poles are good, but SSDMs are exceptional and a primary reason Prep will struggle to score. |
| I'm loving the parity this year in both leagues. Maybe we can attribute it to the lack of 80% FOGOS, which are brutal. |
|
Prep won't score more than 8 - 9 goals tomorrow against Bullis.
The Bullis offense will need to produce. Expect a hard-fought contest, can't wait! |
|
Prep will win bullis will lose
|
Is there a way for Prep and Bullis to both win? |
| If Bullis wins then a Prep loses. Noodle on that. |
O'C, McN, and BI do not even try to pretend that they care about Lacrosse. The kids are always great kids, but they rarely compete. SMR, DM and TH try, but they are all either lousy or incomplete. SMR is like O'C McN and BI most years except for last year. They are again horrendous. They were a one year wonder. TH is too small to be competitive and can't stop people from scoring. DM is likely done as a serious program until they get a 5th new coach, again. After the F/O there is literally not one player that would start on a decent team. GC is new to the upper tier but it looks like they could/should be there for a while. PVI just needs to learn that the season lasts until May. SJC kids need to stop believing their own hype or the coach needs to go to his 60 man bench that also contains D1 commits multiple 3 & 4 star kids. If the kids on the fields are liabilities, give someone else the opportunity. It will make the hyped-up kids play harder. GZ looked like they may follow DM a descent to mediocrity at 0-5, but they have rallied and might be the class of the league in a down year. They embarrassed DM on Tuesday. It is a four team league. The IAC is a three team league. They should combine the top four from each league and relegate/elevate two teams each year. Then the teams will either compete to get better or settle for being part of high school team making lifelong friends at a sport in which their school did not excel. Both models are okay, but they need to stop playing each other and stop wasting everyone's time. The bottom tier team's kids are still great kids, but they are not going to win a lacrosse game against the upper tier kids who have been playing lacrosse for two decades. Make each game matter. |
Yes they are both already better than SSSAS. Bullis wins this one going away. They are better than anyone has given them crdit for and outkicking their coverage. These guys are under recruited as well. Love the toughness. Lot of D3 guys that cna straight ball and the Ivy's and USNA guys are better than advertised. |
| DMV lax GP/Bullis write up is posted. They are calling for a close battle. |

DMV Writeup:
There’s a lot on the line Friday night when Bullis travels to Georgetown Prep to take on the Little Hoyas. Bragging rights, the top spot in the IAC, and most importantly, the potential #1 seed and homefield advantage in the IAC playoffs. Both teams are playing excellent lacrosse this season and coming into their stride at the right time. Bullis is coming off of arguably their most impressive win of the season, a 6-2 defeat of rival Landon in an affair that doesn’t truly reflect the score. The Bulldogs bullied the Bears, physically imposing themselves the entire game, with senior netminder Jake Zamoiski (Dickinson), the Washington Capitals Game MVP, leading the way with a ridiculous 17 saves. Georgetown Prep also registered a highly impressive win last week, dominating a talented Good Counsel team, 11-5, that has played every other top team in the area to a close battle. The Little Hoyas attack was phenomenal, with Noah Han (Princeton), Rex Adamson (Brown), and Sam Colluzi (Navy) all notching multiple goals, and sophomore goaltender Keith Chari continued to establish himself as one of the best goalies in the area, registering double digit saves en route to Washington Capitals Game MVP honors. While much praise has been given to both Zamoiski and Chari all season long, and rightfully so as both have been phenomenal, credit is also due to both defensive units. Against Landon, the trio of Caleb Kaplan, Gray Foa (Navy) and Alisane Barro (Hampton) was tremendous, as was longstick midfielder Mason Aleo (St. Joes) who capped off the defense’s excellent day with a disgusting over the head check to seal the 6-2 win. Prep stymied a Good Counsel offense that featured 4 high D1 commits, holding them to just 5 goals. The Little Hoyas defensive unit set the tone for the game when Luke McGlone (Villanova) de-twigged Maryland signee Drew Demarinis on the opening possession of the game. In their past three games, the Georgetown Prep defense has held opposing teams to just four goals a game. While both defenses have been tremendous, both of these offenses have also proven that they can score in bunches, with both teams averaging in double digits in offensive production. For Prep, their firepower is their attack, led by recent All-American selection Noah Han, who had two absolutely gorgeous on the run snipes against Good Counsel. But the guy who has emerged as a true second option in his junior year is Sam Colluzi, a true two handed sparkplug type player who plays with great energy always seems to be at the right place at the right time. If the Little Hoyas expect to win on Friday night, they will need to garner offensive production from their midfield. They have plenty of horses in the stable; however, we are waiting to see which one will establish themselves as the alpha. Look for either Nik Mundy (Hopkins) or Dylan Behrens (Princeton) to have a breakout game on Friday. Contrarily, the Bulldogs have one of the strongest first midfields in the DMV, headlined by lefty downhill dodger Cooper Kuehl (UPenn) who has had a phenomenal senior campaign. Juniors Luke Myre (UPenn) and Mason Keller (Holy Cross) are both excellent dodgers who can also sling it from range and have made this unit almost a requirement to double pole. If Bullis looks to pull out the massive road win, their attack will need to contribute more. Look for Avi Ruiz (Ohio Wesleyan) or Sully Flatch (Dickinson) to have a big game up front for the Bulldogs. We expect an incredibly physical game Friday afternoon between two very evenly matched teams; however, Bullis is playing like a team on a mission, and we believe their physicality on defense gives them a slight edge in a very close one. |

I think a 9-8 prediction is a good call.
I really think this is a one-goal game. Both teams are playing good lacrosse right now! pick-em! |
Prep 11-5. Bullis ref made a mistake celebrating Landon win going to Tally Ho - Prep family owned. Landon still wins IAC 9-8 finals v Prep. Prediction is a good call. |
