Think a more unlikely victim (s) for the death, and a VERY surprising yet totally rational culprit.

Ethan is the victim, the new money: Harper wants the money, but doesn’t want to spend her life with Ethan.

When Cameron feels up Harper’s leg, I was surprised she never told Ethan. She’s a lawyer who deals with sexual harassment claims…her job is to fight against sh#tty behavior by men. Yet she omits this truth from Ethan….why? Especially after her getting upset toward Ethan about the night with the hookers. Why didn’t she come clean about Cameron’s behavior?

I think Cameron and Harper are perhaps having a longtime affair and in cahoots. Perhaps Harper actually represented Cameron’s firm in his harassment cases?

Lol no.

She doesn’t need to “come clean” about Cameron’s crap behavior— she didn’t do anything wrong. Also, after Cameron strips in front of her, she DOES tell Ethan and he has basically no reaction. So maybe she figures that between being mad at Ethan and the fact that he didn’t seem to care before, she figures what is the point of telling him more?

Also, no way Harper and Cameron have a longtime affair. These people barely know each other and we witness several scenes between the two of them alone where Harper clearly does not like him and they have no established history.

Sometimes I wonder if the people posting on this thread are really young or just read recaps of the show or something. This “analysis” is just you guys making up random plots based on nothing.

You’re stuck with us - deal with it!

Then might I gently suggest actually watching the show we’re talking about and basing your comments on what we actually see happening in the show? Perhaps another thread for WL fanfic.

If the death turns out to be random and accidental, will it bug you? What if there’s no murderer?

Dude did you see the end of Season 1. The ending was so random. By your logic, if PP had spun that one out you would have called her out for writing fan fiction. But there you go. Anything is possible and on the table for the end of Season 2.

In one of the the episode break downs, the actor who plays Albie says the series is about relationships, [something else I can’t remember] and murder. So it seems we should expect a murder.

I honestly think Isabella is a decent contender. We know so much about her and there really isn’t much reason for that. The Valentina plot will be relevant in the end.

But the deaths aren’t employees.

I don’t think we know that for sure Rocco didn’t have details about who died

If Ethan and Albie are the same person it will be interesting to see how they reveal it, and what the reactions are from the other characters is. It could be played for laughs/comic relief as in "What?!?", or they could do it as more of a betrayal type thing, as in I thought I knew you, etc etc.

Harper takes ambien. Isn’t that the stuff that makes you sleepwalk and do things you don’t remember, like eating and having sex. Maybe she does something and claims she didn’t know cuz she was really asleep.

Good point; the ending of Season 1 was insane. My theory about Harper & Cameron isn’t so far fetched. It would make sense that if Harper was the Other Woman, she would be obsessed with calling out Daphne/Cameron’s relationship as “fake.”

Maybe Cameron could kill Lucia's pimp and they could call it even: Cameron wouldn't owe her any money and Lucia could be free.

The hair may be the giveaway on the Albie-Ethan thing. When he's Albie, his hair is pushed forward. To be Ethan, he pushes it forward and mats it down. Similar personalities, so need for big effort there. Similar wardrobes too.

Did you notice how angry Harper was after Daphne came back to the beach after the massage and was canoodling with Cameron on the lounge chair? It’s hard to tell where her disdain for their fakeness ends and her rage at not being desired like that begins.

I think Harper and Valentina would make a good match.

Sorry, meant Albie's hair is pushed back, not forward.

I will like “Albie and Ethan are the same person” theory is White Lotus’s version of QAnon. Wtf?

The preview for the show features the actor who plays Albie saying the people who are at the resort are murderers. So, I think it's pretty safe to say that the preview plus the dead body equals murder.

But then why would Harper and Cameron act like acquaintances when alone together? Why would Cameron approach Harper when she was alone and tell her it’s really important that she likes him? Why would she look visibly uncomfortable when he strips in the adjoining room? I’m sorry, this theory isn’t merely far fetched. It’s dumb.

This would be like if the “twist” at the end of season one was that Rachel was actually in love with the guy who thought he had testicular cancer and had maneuvered her honeymoon just to be near him and steal him away from Coach Taylor’s wife. It’s boring, makes no sense, seems unrelated to the show we are actually watching. Try again.
