Iran is having some issues right now. The West offered Iran an off ramp but the IRGC didn't want it. |
Sure they will. Offer to eliminate sanctions, let them sell oil on the world market, etc. and they will happily do it. The Iranian regime desperately needs to get their economy in better shape. |
They took the off-ramp that was offered, and then Trump blew it up because the Saudis wanted him to. Saudi and Iran are regional rivals. We have taken the Saudi side of that for 40 plus years on the basis that Saudi would pump oil when needed. Saudi has proven they are not good allies, so no reason to keep taking their side. |
It’s not just a regional thing. KSA is predominantly Sunni (Wahabbism) while Irannis predominantly Shia. Condoleeza never quite understood that either. |
Imperialist powers stealing hundreds of millions in oil revenues while paying workers 50 cents a day can lead to “issues.” |
No. No. No. No. Just no. And besides there’s no way AIPAC would ever allow this. |

Well that's some solid reasoning right there. |
That offer was basically on the table and they rejected it. The government doesn't speak for or control the IRGC. That's the problem. That's also the problem they are having with the protests. |
That offer was never on the table. Why do you insist on making things up? |
The Government of Iran was unable to make assurances regarding the IRGC. There was a reasonable offer on the table. The opportunity was there. |

Look it up yourself. The talks were widely covered. You'll also need to learn about the structure of Iranian institutions for the background context. Perhaps a visit to your local library will help. |
I love how we’ve reached the point where Venezuela and Iran are the attractive options to alleviate the oil problem. If only we had massive quantities of accesible oil in the USA and Canada. I guess we’d rather help Iran and VZ than help the MAGAs. |
I have read about them and know perfectly well there was no such offer. You're just making crap up. |
