Regardless of his recent vagabond nature, he did develop the best 2013 girls team in the region while at MYS. That didn't happen by accident.

He had them 2 years ago when they were 11. Did he really train them in such a way that no other coach could?

He built a powerhouse before handing them off to CW, including attracting several of the better 2013s in the area to come play for him. No one of note left during his time there (other than to follow him when he left). The team is still a powerhouse and will be as long as they stay together. He must have done something right. Or at least knew enough not to screw it up, which is better than a lot of the crappy coaches around.

Am i hallucinating or are you referring to a team of little 6th-7th grade girls as a "powerhouse" that he somehow built when they were...u9? Thanks for the laughs!!!!

Oh, look, the adjective police! There is plenty there to criticize DB about, but to not give the man credit for developing, over the better part of three years, one of the best younger teams in the region is dumb.

Seems like he was more lucky than anything to just get a good group of girls. Why didn't he coach them this year?? Because the majority of them would not play for him again, that's why CW had that team instead.

Well, there are lots of coaches around these parts who would have found a way to screw that up (and have). CW had them last year so it is natural for him to have them this year.

Why would GFR, after cleaning house and firing GD, bring on a problematic, habitual quitter with no work ethic?

maybe he has a better relationship with NM than GD did? that makes a huge difference. GD and NM did not get along b/c GD was mad that he was never made the TD at GFR.

Who cares about whether the adults get along. This person has bailed on two clubs mid season two years ago, that's disqualifying for hiring IMO.

They could raise their fees a lot and still be a ton cheaper than most other clubs in NoVa
