He had them 2 years ago when they were 11. Did he really train them in such a way that no other coach could?
He built a powerhouse before handing them off to CW, including attracting several of the better 2013s in the area to come play for him. No one of note left during his time there (other than to follow him when he left). The team is still a powerhouse and will be as long as they stay together. He must have done something right. Or at least knew enough not to screw it up, which is better than a lot of the crappy coaches around.
Am i hallucinating or are you referring to a team of little 6th-7th grade girls as a "powerhouse" that he somehow built when they were...u9? Thanks for the laughs!!!!
Oh, look, the adjective police! There is plenty there to criticize DB about, but to not give the man credit for developing, over the better part of three years, one of the best younger teams in the region is dumb.
