If that's true the actress is forcing the storyline of her character to match her personal life regardless of whether it's right for the character and its loved ones -- and for the viewers who care about those characters. |
She's just one person and loves her apartment, so why not? Plenty of money to travel and buy designer clothes and accessories. |
+1 When Che said she was in love with Miranda after 3 weeks of sex, I was like "what??" Not remotely plausible. |
I hear you. Does she actually have millions though? Why can't she just get a classic-6 on the UES or something? I posted upthread about money and her closet. I really liked this episode-- thought it was well written. Loved the Grey Gardens reference with Carrie's smoking outfits. The racks of clothing in her apartment highlighted this for me... I mean, is she really going to "archive" all of her clothes and shoes? |
If Natasha was left $1m, Carrie was left millions (probably ~$5-10m) plus the money from selling the apartment. Which is good, since her income seems unsteady at best. She'd be foolish not to archive her designer wardrobe, which is her most significant asset other than the apartment. Worth at least $100k, and the real true love of her life! |
Do you mean in Episode 9? How do you know? |
And Miranda couldn’t even be bothered to spring for a brownie to soften the blow. I hope he finds someone nice who wants to sit on the couch with him and eat ice cream. Miranda is in for a rude surprise when she gets to Cleveland |
Carried lived in that apartment for years before marrying Big and loved it - there’s a reason she couldn’t bring herself to give it up after they got married. It does not seem strange at all that after having her world turned upside down so unexpectedly, she would choose to return to a place that comforted her. |
I know Miranda is supposed to be “discovering” a new identity in middle age. But, frankly, her behavior and words come off as someone suffering from manic depression. She seemed absolutely manic in this last episode.
But I doubt the show will approach this from an angle of mental illness. |
And apparently doesn't have the money, savvy, or know-how to purchase a white noise machine. |
Che says this in the previews that come after the credits roll. |
Well, depression anyway. But her referring to her situation as a "rom com" was the height of delusion. |
Those don’t come for me and I don’t get why. |
+1 I find this totally believable and am irate about the “I’m going to buy a fancy downtown apartment and then sell it after a week when it beeps too much”plot line. |
I'm just enjoying the clothes and taking it for what it is. Entertainment. |
