Official Brett Kavanaugh Thread, Part 4

I have a problem with the President of the United States attacking any private citizen. It harms the office. I don’t care which party you are from, the POTUS should not be personally attacking people. The POTUS is supposed to be the President of the country, not just the head of his party.

Ronal Regan was big on the decorum that should be afforded the office. I remember thinking he was just being imperial, but over time I realized he was right. Americans need to be able to respect the office even if they don’t after with or even like the person who is the POTUS.

An aspiring writer, who one day writes an autobiography about his crazy high school days

A bigger question is how did the NY Times get a hold of it? Is Judge turning on Kav and planning to write a sequel? I'm sure it would sell a lot better than his first book.

The inside edition video was amazing. The FBI is so inept.

I'm just sure you mean, ALLEGEDY attacked a woman. Funny how that one little word changes things.

No, you don't understand. They don't care if it's a proven fact that he attacked a woman. They don't care if he gets drunk and beats his wife every night. They only care that he will uphold what policy Republicans want.

That's just B.S. and you know it. What we have are allegations. Nothing more. If there was incontrovertible proof, that would be that; but that's not what we have, is it?

You still don't understand. They don't care if there were incontrovertible proof. If they had it, they would hide it. If it were made public, they would deny it. That's why they have been rushing this through from the beginning. That's why they are withholding 100,000 documents. That's why they could hold up Merrick Garland for a year but can barely hold up Kavanaugh for a week. That's why they didn't want Mark Judge to testify about it.

And don't tell me what I know or don't know. You don't know me at all. I have my own opinions. You have yours.

You just have to get over the Merrick Garland thing. They could do it, so they did it. Unless a new law is passed I’m sure that the favor will be returned one day. But being bitter doesn’t help.

The FBI has been neutered by this administration.

sworn statement - she knows Dr. Ford, Ms. Swetnick, Kavanaugh and Judge, and she say Kavanaugh spiking punch with qualudes and hard liquor and sexually assaulting girls (unwanted groping).

the FBI has to investigate this!

Ronald Reagan is turning over in his grave.

re: the letter
It means he commonly went by "bart" with his friends. His friends book at the front says the stories are all true. It is not a fictional novel, it is a true story of his addiction and recovery.

He has a character named "Bart O'Kavanaugh" in the book.

"Loud obnoxious drunks with prolific pukers," but ralphing is all about his week stomach, right? An obvious lie just got more obvious. When he was under oath, why didn't he just say he had wild drunken parties at the beach and sometimes he threw up. Nobody really cares about his drinking back then. So why can't he just admit it?

Also a very slimy, nasty guy went by "Bart O'Kavanaugh' on a prelaw chat board that is nasty.
No way for us to know if it was Brett Kavanaugh or not.

It’s been so long since a person with any decorum has been our President, we have forgotten these niceties. This is our new normal.

Let me be clear: I don't really care how much Kavanaugh drank in the early 80s. I don't care whether or not he puked it up, threw ice, or said crass things about girls then either.

The ONLY reason it was even brought up in the hearing, was to try and imply that Kavanaugh could have gotten blackout drunk and assault Ford. It was ruse to sow doubt, and to try and get him to admit he was a choir boy, which he didn't do.

Ford, on the other hand, got to tell her story in a formal hearing in front of the whole world, was questioned by an expert in the field, and determined to not have enough detail or information to be deemed credible in her accusations against Kavanaugh.

Meanwhile, highly laughable individuals have come forward to take their turn at bat, one admitting she was wholly drunk and could not be sure herself, and the other with a sketchy history of lies, who backtracked on her own story.

And the latest is more of the same. And is making Democrats seem completely unhinged.

Let me repeat: I don't give one rat's a$$ about his high school years. Not one iota.

We’ve somehow all, mostly, survived having a power hungry ignorant lunatic for our President, so we can somehow survive Brock too if we have to.
