With Love, Meghan on Netflix

I don’t understand the hate.
Compared to all the other stuff on Netflix, her show isn’t that bad

People just love to ridicule her.

Just go away into obscurity but they can’t as they live like billionaires but are lowly 10s of millionaires. What turned me off entirely was they acted as such victims on Oprah, then nothing was going their way so tried to recreate Diana’s death with the fake NYC to bring them back into the narrative as victims. They were not even wearing seat belts and there was no high speed chase. They are grifters.

And the whole “I’m Meghan Sussex” thing. She hated being a royal and insists on being a royal.

Exactly what last name is she supposed to take of her husband’s that would not be royal? You’re complaining for complaining sake. They could be the Mountbatten-Windsor’s instead, but that’s still Royal and people would still be complaining they are trying to be royal. I don’t understand the criticism for her wanting to take her husband’s last name, whatever it may be. Are they supposed to make up something totally different — if they did, people would say they’re purposefully being critical and demeaning of the royal family. Is he supposed to take Markle as his last name?

+1. the thing is, nothing Meghan could do, short of disappearing, would make these people happy. I mean, they were just presented with a nice quote about her from the Netflix CEO and their response was that "well his woke leftist wife has his balls in her purse." What on earth? They will literally never be satisfied.

+2 but let’s be real, if Meghan disappeared, people would be saying how selfish and insecure she was for disappearing

Would they? If Harry and Meghan had left the royal family to live comfortably in obscurity, would anyone criticize that?

My sweet summer child. Of course she would be criticized.

Shes affected but I get the impression that’s she’s probably likeable once she lets her guard down and stops trying so hard. I wish she’d be more authentic.

This. Truly, I wish her well. But she is so affected, it makes me genuinely curious how anyone can find her authentic. The article in The Cut that came out about her a few years ago put it the best - it's like she constantly walks around with a tiny bachelor producer in her ear telling her what she should say and do so that it comes across perfectly on tv. But it's just too much.

I saw a trailer on Netflix while scrolling. She said " I could be wrong" and it sounded so fake. Clearly something she was told to say to combat her image as a difficult narcissist.

Question: If Meghan is as terrible and awful as some of you claim she is....is that just not a good producer? A producer's job is to help their subjects look good on camera; if Meghan is truly this evil narcissistic witch, of COURSE the producer would tell her to come across as more down to earth.

When has anyone from the British royal family not sounded fake?

Who cares anyway, it’s just a show

I’m reading Ina Garten’s memoir and she talks about the absolute nightmare it was filming at her house. Tons of people and equipment inside, trailers and tents in the yard — all culminating with her septic system being overloaded. She built a studio space as soon as she could.

Can’t blame Meghan for avoiding all that, especially with two young kids in the house.

I think she would’ve been respected for having a spine and raising her family in safety and health.

I have wondered this too. I think they just aren't investing that much into the show and figure a hate watch is as good as any other watch. The cringey moments keep the buzz going more than scenes of her teaching us to how to make 2 ingredient lavender towels in a rental kitchen.

People definitely hate Blake Lively and Mindy Kaling and that Baldwin wife this much.

Are you kidding- Taylor Swift, Anne Hathaway, Gwyneth Paltrow... Lots of hate on this board.

Mostly women

She appears to be an opportunist who can stylishly stab her father or father-in-law to get what she wants.

Sure you are, dear. Are you Meghan googling yourself? Comparing yourself to Ina is high comedy.

Stylishly? She’s a useful idiot puppet used to attack the throne. She’s a one trick pony who plays a victim over and over and over and over — from a California mega mansion while she’s and her husband are just unemployed grifters.
