Because, of course, after Brexit Trump no longer thinks the UK is part of Europe... |
| Stanford University now has three confirmed cases. One of the two new cases is a Stanford medicine faculty. |

Riddle me this...
So they are in the midst of sick people, they get tested now and send home. In the name of incubation! They can be infracted five minutes before test and test will be neg. It is like you would take pregnancy test right after and it would come negative of course... So you wake up nine months later with a baby.... So what are we doing here exactly?..... Who is advising the Governor? The governor also announced that the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) is requesting that Marylanders onboard the “Grand Princess” who are not showing symptoms return to the State of Maryland. The U.S. citizens on that ship are in the process of being transported to military bases for examination and to be quarantined. The state has informed HHS that they must test all 12 of these passengers for COVID-19. All who are cleared will be safely transported back to Maryland. |
It worked!!! It worked!!!.... students are safe, the risk is very low... no reason to close... Lets all keep our schools open!!!

Maybe we need more UK cases because we don’t have enough of our own? In “this case” .. i rest my case.. Case closed. |
because the UK isn't part of the Schengen Area/Zone with open borders. Even before Brexit, an EU citizen still could not just walk into the UK without extra customs and immigration security. BTDT. They have very strict boarder controls way before now. Versus continental Europe/EU where you can just drive from Italy to France, or France to Belgium, without going through some major checkpoint. So it became very difficult to control who was leaving the EU. Italy is spreading it, and they got it from Germany, etc. I don't think people need to over think this or come up with conspiracy theories. And I am not a Trump fan or voter. BUT. it is possible to take the train from London to Paris, which could be one way around this. |
Reposting--also this: The UK has relative low per capita rate of infection (for now). See cases per million for some European countries--US is 4: UK--7 Italy--206 Norway--120 Denmark--106 Switzerland--75 Sweden--50 Spain--49 France--35 Austria--34 Netherlands--29 Belgium--27 Germany--24 |
Yhs k you. Clearly! We need more cases.
|
This number is a lie. The US has a lot more cases but the government has tried to keep the number low for weeks by not testing. It’s a con. |
Being an island nation clearly has its advantages, even today. I'm also confident leaving the UK open to US is to allow existing Americans/Europeans to get back home somehow. I'm not sure how Britain feels about it, though! |
The U.K. has actually been doing a lot of testing. Much more than France, Germany and of course the USA. |
| Do you think if hospitals fill up they will put a cap on age they will provide advanced support for like Italy did. Such as no ICU bed/ventilator if over 80 |
If we don't start making massive changes in our behavior, they likely will have to. |
If the hospitals fill up, they have to triage patients based on the most likely to survive. That means if you have 2 people and one ventilator and one is a 30 year old with a family and one is a 65 year old empty nest smoker, who do you think gets treatment? |
