Valor

Loudoun is only good at u-littles U9-U13

Loudoun is good for rec littles or any kid who wants to play for fun and to stay active. They’re great for that. If you have a kid who is serious about soccer don’t waste too much time there. They don’t teach skill and they don’t develop footballers.

Its pre-season. Kids are on vacation, who the hell knows. There is no way Valor's team is better than Loudoun's same age, same level team. Simply impossible.

But let me guess, your kid plays for Valor, LOL. No one else would care about a one off random game in a summer tournament.

My DD doesn't play for Valor or Loudoun. She played on the same RL team for years and as such, played those Valor and Loudoun RL teams many times. But she graduated in May and has been off at college for two weeks now. Brace yourself for this next part.....we still have friends on a few RL teams so, if it's ok with you, I'll continue to follow the RL games and engage in conversations with people about them. If that's all you have to contribute to the conversation, it's probably better not to say anything at all than to prove to people how petulant you are.

Glad the second team is now in their appropriate division.

Yikes the Loudoun tournament for 2013s. Why were they in the top bracket?

1st team probably wouldn’t be much better, but insane to put 2nd team in top bracket.

Believe that was their first team and agree they should have been in the second bracket like the other Valor teams.

Gold is second team and Pre-ECRL is 1st team (did not play).

This is a reflection of the poor coaching valor gives. Not only that but can these coaches not properly advocate for these girls and where they should be placed? I feel terrible for those girls they looked miserable out there. This is their second team and they played in the top bracket?

Its strange because in other ages, Valor put their highest team in the lowest (3rd) bracket.

That is just because they want to make it seem that all their teams are winning on social media.

Clubs should be getting the tournaments to place these teams accordingly.

Wrong. Not a single top team in a 3rd Bracket. Only U9 and U10 age groups are the top teams are called Gold. U11 and up's top team would have Pre-ECNL or ECNL-RL in the name.

We literally just went to this new name format this year. I am sure the tournament just didn’t realize that and that is why they got put in a top bracket.

Accidents happen. Felt bad for the girls.
This is also partially the coaches fault. The tournament sends out “potential brackets” before they are published. The coach should have spoken up and told the tournament they should not be in the top bracket.

Anyone have any insight/ perspectives or observations on the U11 coaches for 24-45 season? They are all new.
