That’s what cult members do. |
This is what is so maddeningly frustrating to me about Anna, though - she has siblings who made it out and offered to help her! They had as much a chance as she did. Gaaaaaah. |
| He probably became a pervert due to his upbringing. Sad. |
Well, sort of. Her brother has distanced himself from his family and publicly offered to rescue her, and her sister was exiled after she got pregnant before marriage. I'd say her brother had a much better chance than she did, because he's a man, and it seems like her sister didn't really get to choose to leave. She was pushed out. |
| That family is messed up! I don’t think I would defend him to the judge asking for leniency. He needs serious treatment, much more than what magical sky friend can provide!! |
They are complicit. |
| There is no way he doesn’t abuse his children. Their defense is so disgusting. The whole depraved family is going to rot in Hell. |
|
His basically made up job at FRC? An organization that advocates hate?
Oh darn |
Because she doesn’t care to be out. Before she met Josh she was living in a trailer in a field with her family. Josh already had a failed engagement because of what he did to his sisters before she even married him. She’s a gold digger. Albeit one with low standards. |
This is really at odds with what others have said about him giving off predator vibes snd being kind of gross and sleazy in person. |
| Perhaps Anna will have another baby, that fixes everything |
| The letters on his behalf made me literally feel sick to my stomach. The man is depraved. |
| Hopefully, he either kills himself or other inmates kill him. |
| Thankfully for society, the letters are all disgusting and tone deaf, and miss the point of character witness letters. If they really wanted a reduced sentence (not likely anyway) they would write about how much remorse Josh has shown, how difficult his path has been, how he is seeking psychological help and recognizes what a serious mental problem he has, how he has been talking about being an example of accountability and accepting consequences for your sins, etc. These letters are just... omgosh Josh is soooo sweet! Don't be mean to him!! |
| The defense submitted, among other things, claims that Josh is a great husband and father because he helped sweep up some spilled crackers. I feel like that just makes him look worse, not better, if you have to fish that deep for positive examples. |
