Arguing that you should get a reduced sentence so you can spend more time with your child doesn’t seem smart in this instance. That poor child needs protection and she/he won’t get it from the mother!

Didn't his defense show cases where more images were downloaded than what Josh did and their sentences were like ~5-7 years.

I hope that the fact that what he downloaded was some of the worst of the worst will increase his sentence.

I don't have a lot of hope, though. I work closely with ICAC officers (internet crimes against children) and the sentencing lengths are low even though the recidivism rate is high.
