FCV parents - has anyone heard anything?

FCV has always participated in this league? Why is this the first time I’ve heard of it? |

| FCV left ECNL to move into the DA, not on great terms, since it was Terry who had the ecnl relationship (his new team still plays ecnl down in fl), and Christian only wanted DA. So ecnl isn’t taking them back. To be honest, ECNL doesn’t need anymore northern VA teams. |

It has been a few days so I hope that the FCV parents are ready to deal with reality. If not, please kindly remove your head from your a$$ and review the following:
1. DA is done. 2. The DA was nothing more than a platform. The powers that be believe that ECNL is the better platform as did a host of top clubs who left the DA long before its demise. Accept that the DA was never as elite as you believed that it was. 3. FCV has great talent and really good coaches. It would be great if FCV could maintain the club but the reality is that the talent and coaches only need a platform. The players and the coaches are good enough to succeed outside of the DA and FCV 4. ECNL is not an option for the club. 5. EDP could be a really good opportunity if the club stays together. You don't need ECNL to be an elite team. If the club keeps its players and plays in EDP, that could work out well. Consider that other DA teams including PA Classic, Penn Fusion and SJEB could move to EDP. BA players will head back Pipeline and SAC. You could have a conference with mostly former DA teams and players. That could be more competitive than ECNL. Also, you can now play in JefCup, Bethesda Cup and other top showcases against ECNL clubs and prove who is the best team. 6. If you decide not to stay together, you can move to local ECNL teams and make those teams stronger. Those who don't make ECNL can join elite non-ECNL clubs that play EDP or CCL and also play in the top brackets at JefCup, Bethesda Cup and CASL. We all recognized that change is hard but let's lose the elitist mindset that made FCV parents the scorn of NoVA youth soccer. There are great opportunities for talented players. If your kid was good enough to play for UNC or for the YNT before Wednesday, that opportunity is still a reality. |

Other than in California there have been no actual games played in this league but FCV has always been a part of this league. |

Is this it? https://www.dpleague.org/ Doesn't look like a lot of soccer leagues in the East if that's the plan for FCV. |
