The memberships fees are likely just as "included" as Spirit Season tickets were to those players.

Make no mistake, you AND your player are there to make money for The St. James. Whether it is a club membership, a party rental or a dinner at their restaurant as a part of your three and a half hour day dedicated to a practice.

Most Loudoun based families will not home earlier than 9:30.

This is the most quiet xFCV parents have ever been. What a glorious day!

You should never be allowed around children.

Not PP, but I don't quite ungerstand how "quiet xFCV parents" ( and it's been very very quiet last 24 hrs) and not being allowed around children don't connect.

FCVDad is probably buys trying to sort through the official PR message and letter that clarified everything. well, almost everything, something, not really.

If the letter clarified everything then you should be able to answer these questions:

Exactly how many practices will be at Evergreen per week?
Exactly how many practices will be at the St. James per week?
Exactly how many practices will be at some other undisclosed location?

The poster who made the comment about the BRYC 05's doesn't know what they are talking about, none of them would go to a team they could beat.

So I purchased the domain fcvirginiasucks.com a while back when FCV was being FCV. When it came time for renewal a few months ago, I thought to myself, "Hey, maybe I should hang on to this for another year. You never know what FCV has up its sleeve."

Well... I'm taking bids

On the bright side, TSJFCVDA parents will be some of the best climbers around.

Maybe the new uniforms will be free to soften some of the blow.

Why?

FCV was not purchased by a philanthropist. You are a revenue stream. Everything will be about getting every last dime out of you. The soccer club is an amenity to be promoted up sold. FCV was not purchased to be a loss leader. There will be no gifts. Have you ever been a member of a gym before?

FCV is now a Springfield club. Accept it and embrace it. Everything at FCV will be more expensive than any other club in the region and possibly on the east coast. Most Loudoun based families will easily spend more time in their car than they will at practice.

Cost will stay exactly the same.

If that's true and the revenue that has been supporting Evergreen will continue to support Evergreen & now Jimmy's Place (R)(TM) , that's some insight into the cost structure. Either CZ was making more bank than anyone thought or Jimmy is taking a loss.

If you avoid toll lanes all you have to pay is the extra gas money. Just leave home a couple hours before practice. There is a lot to do in Springfield.

TSJFCV long term plan of some disgruntled families of the FCV South County partnership finally coming to fruition? And go!

Seconded. Many times over. Follow the money.

$400 bucks a month minimum, not including gas.

Signed, somebody going the opposite direction

It’s a cluster f@ck

While it is easy for some of you to poke fun at the situation, the main thing we have considered in selecting a club is where I can get a facial. And full-set eyelash extensions for $290. Nowhere else in the region can I wash down my pilates with $8 hand-cut french fries. My rejuvenated skin, always being inside, will only stand to benefit from a $12 Acai Bowl and $9 Rockin Beet juice, which I shall consume thrice weekly. I've long suspected my DD needed a $9 activated charcoal detox to enhance her performance, and now I finally have a facility that can meet our needs. An $18 burger is made even more glorious when I have the peace of mind it can be served on a $3 gluten-free bun. I hardly know who to thank first.

Only during the transition year. Once Evergreen is out of the picture the cost will go up.

Futsal prices will rise due to the facility rental. Field cost will rise because of the facility rental. Every other way you can get milked, from 40% of "regular membership dues" included in your fees next year will go up.

Fees are the same now because everyone paid a deposit for the coming year. But like your cable bill it will rise next year. The St. James wants a return on their investment. Have you even looked at their membership fees and what they charge for access to everything ON TOP of the membership fees? You really believe that they just LOVE soccer and they are gonna just let the FCV kids and parents just have FREE access to their facility because they are making a cool $300/head per registered player for a year?

Do you really think Christian is working two jobs now because he made such a killing on this sale if he could be retired in Cabo?

So the only way this venture for the St. James turns a real profit on this is to turn FCV into a poor mans IMG.

FCV girls will go to Loudoun and other local options. Barca will probably get the Loudoun Gray team kids that are displaced down the chain.

I know many Loudoun parents that don’t want to do ECNL because of the travel involved and are heading to Barca.

whatever
