Actually, that period was the dawn of the skinny jeans, Jordache, Guess and Chic. Our skinny jeans were so skinny that you had to lay on a bed to get those non spandex denim jeans to zip.

And then you needed help just to get up off the bed.

She looks beautiful in that dress. Much better than Megan who looks like she’s wrapped herself around with bolts of favric

The Sarah Burton for McQueen dress she chose to wear for the occasion was a total showstopper, resembling the silhouette of a classic Disney princess gown.

With its fitted, ruched bodice, the shimmering silver McQueen number was certainly unexpected for the Duchess, marking a new and exciting direction for her personal style. The effect was particularly resplendent when paired with the jewels that she wore—all on loan from the Queen: the Lover’s Knot tiara, previously worn by Middleton in July 2017 to the state dinner when the British royals hosted the Spanish royals, and Queen Alexandra’s wedding necklace. The pearl and diamond drop style piece was first created in 1860 by Garrard and has been worn by both Queen Elizabeth II and Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth The Queen Mother. Made out of glass rather than ivory, Middleton’s Royal Family Order brooch was a nice finishing touch.

I think that Vogue article was throwing some shade - pretending to like the dress while actually dissing it

This doesn't sound complimentary: "resembling the silhouette of a classic Disney princess gown."

"the shimmering silver McQueen number was certainly unexpected for the Duchess,"

etc

Also leading with MM stealing the spotlight seemed another diss

That's because Meghan wore this the day before Kate debuted that ice pale monstrosity.

That is a beautiful dress, but what is going on with the skirt? It looks like she has an extra knee.

Is that just an unfortunate frame selected by the photographer? Or did her fabric get stretched out of place from sitting down?
She is in the midst of walking down steps. C'mon this is not rocket science.

I love her dress, love the color. Meghan looks great!

Kate had three incredibly rough pregnancies, and has a kid who is less than 6 months old. Cut her some slack. That said, I can't believe that's an Alexander McQueen dress. It looks like a dress up princess gown for a little kid.

Maybe Charlotte is into Frozen right now and she picked out the dress for mom.

There is nothing like a preschooler telling you how beautiful you look to make you feel pretty.

You don't remember Brook Shields' ad "nothing comes between my Calvin Klein's and me" when she was 16/17? It shocked a lot of people. We used baby powder to help get the jeans on.

we didn't call them "skinny jeans," but they most certainly were skin tight.

I do. I’m 51 and this was exactly what was required!
