20 dead in upstate NY in limo accident

That has to influence the sentence. It’s unconscionable that so many were killed because of their negligence

The New York Times article about the sentence mentions that the families now are considering going after the management/employees of a local car repair business that supposedly claimed that they'd fixed the faulty brakes on that limo but hadn't, and still put a sticker on the limo saying it had passed inspection.

Limos are unsafe in general. As are any vehicles where occupants routinely do not wear seatbelts, like busses.

Consecutive sentences aren’t common in cases with multiple vehicular homicide victims. What he did was awful but doesn’t warrant 50+ years in prison.

How often are buses in serious accidents? I can't think of a single one in my area.
