There are many folks with no dog (or kid) in this fight who would strongly disagree with you. |
PP obviously doesn't live in VA, especially NOVA. |
True. So? |
UNCHEAT!??! |
Drumpf is ready for them! |
Enjoy your cats and red wine! |
A lot of it is this + regional bias + so many alums concentrated in the area. Get out of Nova/Dc, nobody cares about UVA in NYC, Boston, Chicago, LA, Seattle. It still passes the “decent college” snap judgment test, but nothing more. |
| UVA is perfect, it's the best college ever. Fun fact: The Ivies, Duke and Vanderbilt have zero Virginia residents enrolled for the 18-19 school year - it's that good. |
Try again. UVA is not a "regional school". It consistently ranks no. 2 for best public university in the USA behind Berkeley and in second place with UCLA or UCLA third. Always ahead of Michigan. Look at USN&WR and other rankings of public universities in America. https://www.dailyprogress.com/news/uva-named-no-public-university-for-th-straight-year/article_2c901320-1a43-11e3-9c21-0019bb30f31a.html |
| Outside of the law school, in no other major metro outside of NoVA/DC does anyone give a damn about UVA. |
| I don’t live in DC and I can assure you no one is jealous of UVA. Seriously. My kids are 8 and 12 so nowhere near college age. I respect my friends ‘ kids who get into Harvard, Yale, Princeton, Stanford, Oxford and Cambridge. Your UVA has zero clout or name recognition outside of Virginia, sorry. |
PP, you misquoted the poster. Regional school and regional bias are not the same thing. |
Lol....the UVA boosters are so easily triggered and defensive. |
| 1:22, please get some sleep! |
|
UVA has a very extensive alumni network.
