Elizabeth Holmes, CEO of Theranos, finally charged

Why do so many men go for the crazy eyes, every time? It's like catnip to them.

Glad she was found guilty, but still…

You must be too young for the Bernie Madoff scandal because I remember a whole other level of ‘interest’ and vitriol.

She’s not crazy. There isn’t anything remarkable about her eyes.

Wrong

PP is wrong. The appeals will likely conclude in 18 months.
She's going to jail either way. Worst case each count does carry 20 years, and they can stack it.

I'm betting she might have used this attribute to woo a lot of rich men.

She will likely have to pay back the 140 million she defrauded the investors...along with jail time.

Wondering if the defense used a "buyer beware" as their argument. Nobody forced these investors to hand over their money. They had choices. Theyre highly educated people. And the age-old mantra "if it's too good to be true..."
And isn't there due diligence on the investors' part to research and do their own independent investigation before handing ovet their millions to a dubious, yet sexy and alluring, young lady?

Not condoning her, but at the same time if you're supposedly one of the smartest and richest people in Silicon V you should've known better, no?

A total crook who should get the same sentence as Madoff.

"Prosecutors repeatedly pointed to documents that Holmes admitted to doctoring before sharing with potential partners, adding the logos of pharmaceutical firms and falsely implying they had endorsed the methodology.

“I wish I hadn’t done that,” she told the jury on the stand. Her defense team stated in closing arguments that the logo evidence was “a distraction” and that Holmes was in talks with those companies at the time."

Curious if there was blackmail involved. She might have had the scoop on people's dirty laundry/skeletons in the closet and sorta used that as leverage to get investors to hand over the money. Easy to do; next to impossible to prove (in court).

She was lying about the company's technology and capabilities.

She hurt others as well because of her fraud. Read the comments below, as usual priceless:

I'm just bewildered why that wealthy younger guy married her?! She defrauded so many and was able to marry well and have a child after her whole company imploded. It's crazy. She should have to pay with jail time for the people who suffered from her total lack of disregard for their reliance on accurate bloodwork from her lab.

Her dad worked for Enron. The apple doesn’t fall far from the tree.
