Has anyone received an HGC letter yet?!

Just got my kid's acceptance letter to Drew. Did not receive scores yet.

Congrats! We're also waiting to hear about Pine Crest. Did you receive the same applicant score info as the previous poster? I'm curious if they have anything specific to center.

We still haven't gotten any mail. We tend to have issues with mail delivery in our neighborhood, including our mail often going to another street and vice versa. My husband called the magnet school central office and they told him our DS got into Pine Crest over the phone.

I can't do that. I can just quote a score for a kid that was rejected. His score was 113.
The median score of the applicant pool was 113. I'd be curious to see what the median score of the accepted students was.

That's great! Congrats!
Would you mind sharing what the test score was? Lots of folks have scores but no word yet on acceptance.

What? How can they give that info over the phone?? Seems a little weird?

I think they've been having enough mail issues that, if you have the student's ID and all your info matches their records, they'll tell you over the phone. It's no weirder than being able to get a bank or doctor to give you information.

So bogus that they're no longer giving out detailed info. In the past, you received specific test results--how many answers your DC got wrong in each of the three sections, and their sub-section scores in relation to the median scores of those accepted to the particular assigned center. I find this lack of info and transparency absolutely outrageous.

I believe you can do a FERPA request for the full info. I will likely do that.

Thursday, and still no letters. So aggravating especially because other kids in the home school are getting their letters.
