We would certainly stop the bleeding at our public schools if we halted the influx. I'm curious if there will ever be a stop to this though.. Fairfax, MOCO and PG are the highest recipients of undocumented children in this area, because many of the sponsors (most are probably illegal immigrants as well) of the undocumented children live in these areas. Are officials in these counties going to continue to ignore this problem and just let more come in at the tax payer's expense? We would be foolish to think that the problem is going to disappear. The problem is only going to get worse if we don't do anything about this. |
| Are the 3 counties really some of the biggest recipients in the US? How so? I thought real estate around DC was more expensive than ever. Which affluent towns are taking knocks because of the influx of illegals and other downscale immigrants? |

Logically there are two ways to address this:
First become a sanctuary city and feel good and open minded. Then as you lose any Federal funding, crime escalates, taxes go up to support their needs you will gain experience and wisdom (hopefully) and move to Northern VA. Option two - vote no and let other cities fail and your property values will go up when they flee to Rockville. |
| Sanctuary city? What is the upside? Feel good and learn Spanish. What is the down side? I've traveled the world and it can be bad, very bad. |
| PP is correct. Every culture has its strengths and weaknesses. Some are extremely currupt. When you admit large groups they bring their issues with them. Do we want large uncontrollable slums? Are we ready for different types of crime and social welfare. Do doctors give up technical training to learn Spanish. How many people can this countries resources support and do we want more pollution? Serious questions. |
| With all the recent negativity. Rockvilles mayor and councel do not have the courage to vote yes and become a sanctuary city. Furthermore, it was foolish to ever consider. Case closed. |
Yes they are the biggest recipients of unaccompanied minors in the DC area and one of the biggest in the nation only after some counties in Texas, Miami, LA, etc. PG is the highest, followed by Fairfax, then Moco. |
| Crazy times we live in. So open minded that our brains fell out. |
The real estate is expansive for Americans. Immigrants, including illegals, live in the public housing paid by you. Signed, Immigrant |

Yep taking back their homeland one illegal after another. I ve several boast that they are the biggest minority now. People had better speAk up soon.

| Ask yourself! Do you want to be in a society that is a sanctuary city for criminals? Or do you want one where your kids can go to school and not be distracted and not fear for there safety. I used to live a mile from ROCKville HS. One morning going to work there was a passed out drunk hispanic laying in my bushes. I was not surprised since the parties at one house went on until 3 or 4 in the morning. While the brothel down the street was 24 / 7. |
| Remember this is a society that now values "victims" more than the producers. Thank God for President Trump. |
| Our family currently lives in the Richard Montgomery cluster and need a larger home. When we heard this we stop looking in or close to Rockville. DW received too many onnaprpproate comments while in school and even today while shopping etc. they do not appear to always respect women as they should. |
I'm the one whose parents' 5-bedroom home is going for the 300s. I don't want to be specific re location, but it is a close-in suburb (10 minutes to DC) in Montgomery County. When they bought it in the '70s (I grew up there), it was a big step-up from their starter rambler home (3 bedrooms, 1 bath). They bought the bigger house because not only did they want (and were at that point able to afford) a nicer home, but they wanted better schools for their kids. Ironically, that starter rambler - half the size of my parents' current house - is now worth the same (around $350K) as their large, "step-up" house - and the school district from which they moved is actually rated higher than the one they're in now. It is because of the influx of illegal aliens, who have brought the school system down. |
