So we shouldn't care about what a presidential candidate says or does? WTF is wrong with you?

At least he is having press conferences.

Hillary hasn’t had one in 235 days, and counting.

Not since the 1st Democratic debate, if memory serves.

Pretty pathetic.

It's irrelevant. She isn't good at press conferences, so why should she hurt her campaign by doing them? It's a political calculation. Thomas Jefferson was so bad at public speaking he gave the State of the Union in writing. Maybe she should promise to do a press conference when Trump releases his tax returns.

I guess that would be rationale for not having any press conferences if she is president ...... because he is not good at them. If you run for public office you need to be willing to go through the process of being vetted and questioned. Press conferences are part of that process whether one is good at them or not.

So I take it you are adamant that Trump release his tax returns? That's part of the vetting process too.

It’s not irrelevant. It speaks volumes about how she would conduct herself in the role of president.
Totally inaccessible. Totally secretive. No transparency at all.

And, she has said she is the most transparent candidate ever. That is a bunch of BS.

She is not inaccessible. She gets her message out in other ways. She has interviews for example. She meets with small groups of regular citizens. She provides written policy statements. She's put out 30 years worth of tax returns (by the way, those returns must be perfect, because if there was a single error, you'd have heard about it by now). The press makes a big deal about press conferences because it is fun for them and gives them stuff to talk about and feel important (look Mom, I'm a White House Correspondent on TEEVEEEE!). But why should the rest of us care? Do you really not know what she all about after so many years of her being in the spotlight?

No I don't and neither does anyone else because she lies constantly and changes her positions when it is politically expedient.

I think we should worry more about a presidential candidate who would jeopardize national security by having a private unsecure server and then lie about it repeatedly.

Sincere question, are you really outraged that Hillary had a private email server and may have jeopardized national security (but doesn't seem to have actually done so)? It's my understanding that communications on the "low side" are used occasionally by the departments of Defense, Justice and State. I'm trying to understand if the outrage is really motivated by national security concerns or more partisan in nature.

I think she displayed appalling judgement in having a private server. We know there were sensitive documents that were on that server. If national security was jeopardized it is inexcusable. The fact that she lied repeatedly to the public makes it worse.

The assumption is that they hacked her server and he is saying that if they have it he hopes they would be released. What is wrong with the release of emails that one of these parties have gained possession?

According to Republicans, all of the emails will include Hillary personally saying "stand down in Benghazi, I want all the bloodshed!" and other dire secrets you're sure are there, so it's weird you'd want them out there. Hacked. By invitation of a presidential candidate. For the "law and order" party.

I am a Sanders supporter, FYI ......... Clinton deleted emails that she claimed were personal. If they are still available anywhere - and the odds are they are available by someone who hacked her server - what is wrong with them being released? I am sure most people will not give a damn about her yoga classes, etc.

Aside from such an act being a federal crime?

Assange released the DNC emails. It may be a crime but cyberwarfare is a fact of life.

And Assange is a criminal hiding from extradition. Do you find him admirable? I don't.

I find transparency admirable. As a Sanders supporter I am glad that he released the information that showed the bias within the DNC and it resulted in DWS being kicked out.

I am all for transparency when it comes to our political process. I don't care whether it is Democrats, Republicans or anyone else in public political office. The only exception is when national security may be impacted.

DNC is a private organization, so they don't owe American taxpayers any transparency

Don't underestimate the extreme amount of latent, unconcious bias against women that still exists out there.

“It would be interesting to see, I will tell you this, Russia, if you're listening I hope you're able to find the 30,000 emails that are missing,” the Republican nominee said at a news conference in Florida. “I think you will probably be rewarded mightily by our press.”

He said if Russia, China or anyone else has the deleted emails he would like to have them released so that he can see what they contain. I agree with him. Why hide these deleted emails? He did not invite anyone to hack any servers. If the emails have been deleted they cannot be hacked.

Because they were hacked.

So, you are ok with Assange releasing all of our Top secret files?

I am certainly glad that he released the DNC emails that showed how they screwed with Bernie.

I would like for those "personal" emails that Clinton deleted from her private server to be released. Let us see how personal they really are or whether they relate to the Clinton foundation.

I see.. so you are ok with people hacking into American servers and releasing the data. Perhaps you will feel differently if one day someone hacks into your computer/phone/tablet and releases your personal emails.

Such a ludicrous analogy. She deleted emails on a private server claiming they were private. How do we know these were personal? Given how dishonest she is, does anyone really believe her version of the emails being private?

I'm not an HRC supporter. She would be more stupid to NOT have removed damaging emails. I bet Trump and his companies have removed damaging emails themselves regarding all the lawsuits against him.

My point is that a potential POTUS should NOT be encouraging foreign powers to release emails of a potentially sensitive nature. Once again, by stating this, he has shown the world what a moron he is and his ineptness in dealing with foreign policies.

You are just like him... your hatred of HRC comes before the interests of the US. That is dangerous, and that is not putting America first.

I made it clear that I don't want national security information released - though Hillary through her incompetence made certain that our adversaries had access to them.

Nothing wrong with those "private" deleted emails being released. I am a Bernie supporter - I don't hate Hillary but I absolutely don't trust her one little bit. She is a liar and outright dishonest. Just yesterday it finally came out that she will support TPP once she is elected. How does a woman lie so much? If she supports TPP argue for it.

Why would you be ok with hackers releasing someone's personal emails? If you don't want national security matters released great, I also wouldn't want my personal email out there for all to see. I think either way, it's a terrible idea. Maybe asking them to secretly send them to republican members of congress so our national security interests are protected in case any classified info was actually hacked? But releasing to the press? Clearly he's all about his interest in becoming president and not our national security.

Bingo.
And, someone asked why he has press conferences if he hates the press.
This is not rocket science, people.

It won't look so brilliant after what Biden and Obama do to Trump and his idiocy at tonight's DNC. Can't wait.

What you guys don't understand is that you cannot redeem a candidate - Clinton - who is widely distrusted by the American people. You can put all the lipstick on her you want and it will not hide her warts. She has lost the trust of many Americans.

The only issue is whether the electorate views Trump to be a greater risk than her. If they don't he will win the election. Biden and Obama and Bill Clinton yesterday cannot make her more trustworthy to the American people. They are biased ....... and have an agenda which is get a Democrat elected.

If Obama and Biden really were concerned with getting an honorable person into the presidency they would not have advocated for her. We really need to stop with the sanctimonious b-s. We have two horrible candidates and we are left to choose between them. I have Republican friends who are totally turned off Trump but will vote for him because they think Hillary is even worse.

Trump thinks he is a good debater, so he won't refuse. If he loses, he will still think he won, saying "a lot of people called me and said I did great," and will blame the dishonest press for saying otherwise.

I believe Trump should release his returns. But ultimately - say he refuses to do so using whatever excuse whether legitimate or not - on election day we can decide if his failure to do so is of sufficient importance that we deny him our vote.

Clinton will speak in platitudes, as she is prone to do, and Trump will make fun of her.
She will attempt to promote her roles as Senator and SoS as “experience,” but Trump will call her out on the decisions she made.
Should be fun to watch.
I am betting there will be a record number of viewers as far as debates go.
