I had wanted to with two prior guys (one at 18, one at 25) but they both balked when they found out I was a virgin.

Frankly, I really wish it had happened w/ the guy when I was 18. By the time I got to my thirties I felt like a total loser and really embarassed to admit that I was a virgin. Which is stupid of course, but the truth.

Wow, I'm also the same age (and female) and am worried about exactly this happening. How on earth do you bring it up with someone? I'm not religious, not a prude, and not secretly a lesbian. Sex just hasn't happened for me for a variety of reasons, and as the years go by, it's harder and harder to do something about it.

I'm a PP who lost it at 30. Why are the guys freaked out about the fact that you are a virgin? My now DH, then BF, had no problems with it and felt really happy by the fact that I had given it him.

20? Or 21? It kinda sucked. To this day I wish I had done it with my serious high school boyfriend when I was 18.

14 with my oldest brothers best friend. We had been fooling around for a couple months and he had been trying to sleep with me for a while. He slept over one night and after my brother fell asleep we started fooling around on the couch while watching tv. I guess he made me feel more mature than I was but I liked the attention and let him take my virginity. We slept together off and on for a few months after that. 14 was probably too young and I often wished I had of lost it in a more romantic way but I dont regret sleeping with him personally.

I wouldn't sleep with a 30 year old virgin or date one or marry one. It seems to indicate a very low libido or asexuality. I like sex. I don't want to be with someone who has so little interest in sex that they waited until mid-20s to early 30s to have sex.

Lots of other reasons, besides libido.

It's a red flag for other problems. Most smart people are going to run away from a 20 some year old vigin. Just the fact that it is such a big deal can hide a lot of issues.

Same, except I was 19. My hormones were like "yes!! let's do it" but the actual doing it was a let down for a long time.
