I spent my twenties being ashamed of being a virgin because of assholes like you. Luckily I found an amazing, wonderful man who loved me and was impressed by my choice to wait rather than disgusted by it. Still took some time to undo the damage of me internalizing everyone's criticism. |

18, female. It was my freshman year of college, lost it to a 19yo I'd started dating. We dated for another month or two, then I moved on to become the college slut for a couple of years. Calmed down my senior year, met DH shortly before graduation.
I actually tried once in high school, but the guy (also 17) couldn't keep an erection. I realize now that he was probably just really nervous, but I was convinced at the time that something was wrong with me or I was doing something wrong. Definitely killed my confidence for a while. I was really relieved when the college guy had no problem! |
