Nice try, troll. Why don't you pick up a lacrosse stick and throw and catch w/ either hand while running.

Lacrosse is an odd sport. The equipment is expensive, the club fees are expensive and the private schools that give the kids the best chances to get noticed or recruited are really expensive. Then the college scholarships are really scarce given less than 60 D1 scholarship programs and about 12 scholarships NCAA limits for D1 lacrosse teams with 50 boys on them. From a monetary and an investment perspective, this makes less sense than the dot com boom. Nobody raising a high level lacrosse player will ever get their sunken costs back. Why is it that in every DMV township THIS is the sport people back their family nest egg into? I have young kids who play and love the game but we have no expectations they are strong enough to be serious players, but I have to admit I am a little bit morbidly interested with taking in as much crazy lacrosse parent activity as a spectator as I can get. It is fabulously entertaining over anything on the television. Is there a clinical explanation for this obsessive compulsion amongst DMV parents in such a small potatoes sport? If my kids were 7 feet tall with a jump shot, I could relate to making life decisions around their sports but lacrosse is not like that. Is there a clinical explanation for this obsessive compulsion amongst DMV parents in such a small potatoes sport?

I don't know the answers to any of your questions PP, but I like your style.

If I tried to run my business the way Cabell Maddox and Ryan McClernan run theirs, I would very quickly be out of business. Both are guilty of treating the paying families -- their customers -- like garbage. Petty, patronizing and malicious are just three words that come to mind. And yes, I am a much happier FORMER client of both Madlax and Crabs. Cabell wears this email thread shame which went public. The same has not happened to Ryan McClernan for only one reason: he wields a lot more power and influence in the game of lacrosse than Cabell ever did. Runs NPYLL, has IL journalists in his pocket, etc. I will admit it...no way did it occur to me to leak Ryan's emails to our family. Delete, permanently delete and good bye. As much as I despise him, there is a better reason to fear him. He will permanently ruin a kid's future in lacrosse as easily as having a morning cup of coffee. We let him have the last word as salty as that was, and are much happier elsewhere, and as time passes he is quick to make and move on to other enemies.

My son left both Madlax and Crabs on great terms. It worked out great. He is playing D1 lacrosse, club level, and living the dream.

Only a complete homer Madlax parent would say that. That tournament is not a great tournament, let alone a "national" championship. Most of the teams there are basically rec teams.

Hope you feel good supporting a guy who threatens former players and parents.

Oooooo ... burn! Yes, you're great because you do whatever it takes for your kid to win in lacrosse! You get to sleep each night knowing you're superior to your neighbors!

They have 3. If you look at all the kids in HS in this are who have committed to D1 schools, Blackwolf and VLC have nearly twice as many commits each than Madlax does.

Madlax has a grip on the youth in this area for now, but they are #3 when it comes to HS teams.

Does anyone have info about the impact/consequences that the emails had on the Madlax program - did families pull out/enrollment go down? Other impact?
