For the first round. In the appeal, WISC crushes GBRS.

It sounds like a game of GBRS, WISC & CogAT (e.g. rock paper scissors)

Can High WISC crushes CogAT(FxAT) In the appeal?

nnat 150, fxat 75% gbrs 13. - not in. will take wisc.

do we have chance to get into aap with wisc 140+?

It's hard to say since this is the first year of the FxAT, but it sounds like it has in the past.

Some qualified children get overlooked. It does not hurt to appeal, particularly if you meet most or all of the standards.

THANK YOU!
I have an older daughter all through GT and then didnt make TJ and got into VT but choosing to go to Mason
Son went thru GT and made TJ and may or may not make Ivy

my lil one needs to be challenged. period. she isnt getting it at her Elem now and I want that for her now. When she is 8,9,10,11 - not to be asked to suddenly pick up pace and go wild when she hits middle school

I called the Family First Psychological Service and the tester assigned to us does not sounds very knowledgeable. Should I go ahead with the appointment? Thanks for your opinion

I talked to our AART regarding appeal and she said we only need mare samples as both testing scores were strong. I don't really trust her based on the samples she selected for my DC's file. It seemed that she did not even know my DC's testing score until our appointment. Anybody think it possible with only work samples for appeal without new testing score?

Yeah, I called too and am seeing her this week. She said my daughter's GBRS did not co-relate with her score and that could have tilted the balance. Am going to appeal for what its worth. Ive come this far. We doing Stanford Binet, coz we took WISC earlier and only coz we couldnt get the shcool to give her Cogat 3 (long story)

Did you ask her lots of questions on what was good/bad in your profile, or did she just tell you what she thought? Not sure how much to ask the psychologists on the process. We are doing Stanford too.
