Please expound on what GA teams do five team sessions a week as you describe? I know of ECNL and GA clubs that do four sessions a week; know if ECNL and GA clubs hat only do three; know of RL teams that do four and three as well. Five really is kinda impossible (would imply a friday session) if you are in season and traveling for weekend games. |

| The girls soccer landscape is shifting significantly. Take the GA gig for a year and see which way the pendulum swings this time next year. |
This year there are 4 ECNL teams and 3 GA in NOVA. Next year it is 3 ECNL and 7 GA. That means approximately the top 54-60 RL girls will go GA. I just can’t see the RL at any age group being high level. I’m sure there will be an RL team here or there that is really good but then you are winning all games by 5,6,7 or more goals. |

Our GA team only picked up 1 from RL. Our GA2 team picked up 2 from RL.
I don't think it will be 54-60 girls from RL to GA... the skill gap is just too wide. |
Came on for this. If you are a 2012 at VYS/Arlington RL, go GA somewhere (best bets seem Alexandria and McLean. SYC is not taking any new girls this year.) I assume with their 5000 new teams GA/GA/Aspire/Aspire, Loudoun took care of everyone out that way. And their cousin. And babysitter. |
3 new GA teams. Girls have to come from somewhere. If not RL then where? NCSL/EDP? |
ECNL |
Maybe a few but nowhere near enough to create 3 new GA teams. |
You’d be surprised. Current ECNL bench players have somewhere to go now. |
Not true...maybe not a lot but do know for a fact that 3 ECNL players that start and play majority of the time went GA. For whatever their reasons it was not because they were benched! |
You're clutching at straws. Players will switch from ECNL to GA for all kinds of reasons. Friends, big fish small pond, ecnl parents, something new, or maybe they think GA is a better run league. Could be any of the above or a thousand other reasons. |
| GA over RL any day of the week. And for 2012 and younger GA is going to be better than ECNL in long run. Landscape has changed with the investment on MLSN boys. |
| How about 2011? |
