Would say will have to wait and see.

Agreed. SYC had a strong showing but TSJ did not. McLean and Alexandria will be in the spotlight this year.

Mclean has better teams. Alexandria has the 2012 only and maybe the 2011. The rest will struggle.

When has Mclean ever had any good teams recently???? Was nothing mean about that green!!!! Mclean is fighting for last place with TSJ!!

2013G McLean team is top in the area although following DB to FVU. But was developed by McLean.

2013? So a 9v9 team is your response LFMAO!!!!

In this area it is trending that way. There will still be some strong RL teams but the league as a whole is not as strong as in the past.

RL in this area losing players to GA1/Aspire and the league losing clubs to GA/Aspire, RL in this area isn't going to be great.

Our daughter was having a tough time because of a parent coaches who treated her and others bad. One girl left with mental health problems. We wrote to GA about what was going on. GA never replied. We wrote three more times, they still never replied. It’s only a money machine for them. These clubs have to perform or they lose their GA license. They don’t develop they just want kids that can score. The league is not consistent, there are teams beating other teams 12-0. Find a better organization to work with.

Preach 🙏

The current Commisioner is one of the biggest hypocrites out there. Says it’s all about some things publicly, then how she acts behind the scenes and things I have heard are not good.

Everything comes to the light in the end

LOL, lets just act like the leadership at ECNL is all rainbows and unicorns.

The ECNL parents that make negative things up about GA and post them here are a special form of pathetic.

Correct. If they're going to make up false stories, at least make them somewhat conceivable or show receipts. At least on the argument that ECNL leadership is shady, there are receipts showing that, whether it's blocking clubs from coming in because of some sort of personal issues or really strange financials.

I see a lot of comments about TSJ for not being that good. If you look at the rankings app, for most age groups they are better than 50% of the RL teams. Think that speaks to how talent isn’t staying in RL.

Here is a link to a recent tournament that involved local GA clubs and RL teams. Keep in mind that for the U14 results, TSJ 2011 is at the bottom of the table for GA Mid-Atlantic league play, and for U13 Armour is mid-table and Coppermine is near the top.

If that's what we're seeing right now this year, next year for sure with the movement GA is going to continue to rise.

They were not developed by McLean. More than half were from other clubs.

McLean will be fine, as they have enough decent players on their second and third teams to create a solid core and the club’s reputation will enable them to pick up a few more. We were at every MYS GA tryout and, while the overall quality was atrocious, the turnout was very strong and there were enough decent players there to make a mid-table GA team. Alexandria is a completely different story. Their top teams are not very good so they don’t have players ready to make a solid core, the club’s reputation will not attract other solid players, and all the other GA teams filled their rosters months ago, so the only players left are ones who didn’t get picked up by the other GA teams. TSJ and Alex will be battling next season for bottom of the GA table.

MYS family here, with a player who will be on one of those HS-age GA teams, and I hope you're right, but I'm not convinced. They have been pretty meh in RL.

TSJ is terrible in GA, but ECNL-R is terrible relative to GA, so you'd expect even a GA cellar-dweller to be better than some ECNL-R teams.

Realistic viewpoint, but to ECNL fanboys and girls around here they don't see that.

So take that starting point, and then exodus of players that could play in GA from existing RL clubs on top of RL clubs leaving like Loudoun and Mclean, leaves the area with an even weaker RL product. Aside from maybe there's families that won't jump ship because they're flat out comfortable doing what they're doing currently.
