Is $TSLA a buy here?

Tesla made him wealthy enough to buy the government, and now he can use the power of the purse to funnel money to SpaceX to make Mars happen within a decade. It’s obvious he was never a man to live a life of luxury anyways, he’s driven by a lust for power and “saving humanity” while he actually hates humans.

TSLA doesn’t matter to him, it’s just an ends to means and served its purpose.

There’s a reason SpaceX is still private.

Sure

That's why he turned the leader of the free world into a Tesla salesman.

Not to mention they take off and drive and crash and kill people or burst into flames.

Musk tanked both Twitter and Tesla. SpaceX hinges on government contracts.

Musk is a businessman like Trump who bankrupted casinos.

Who did they think was buying Teslas? Trump rednecks? Trumpers can’t afford eggs. It was liberals - well educated and well paid.

You are not a good businessman if you don’t know your target audience.

This isnt true. Its been researched. The owners are evenly split politically. I'm a Trump redneck and I own 3 Teslas. And eggs!

Haha. Liar.

I think it’s time to drop “the leader of the free world” thing.

Yes, it has Grok. I'm not sure it is owned by Tesla . . . it might be a separate company owned by Musk.

Musk has yet to bankrupt a company. He might in the future, but not yet. And unlike a casino, Tesla actually manufactures things. Same with Space X.

Many companies have products that hinge on government contracts. If you live in the DC area you may be working for one of them.

Sure, and I’m the reincarnation of James Dean.

Teslas are city cars, and Trump voters, as a whole, are not city dwellers. I travel frequently to visit family in deep red areas, and have never seen a Tesla. Plenty in and around DC, and those mostly were people who bought them before he started wearing clothes and saluting in homage to Nazis. I think possibly some not super-MAGA Republicans and Libertarians also bought into Tesla. But in Trump country you will find posters with a Trump head superimposed over Rambo’s body, and Let’s Go Brandon bumper stickers all over the place. You will not find a Tesla or Cybertruck.

I live in Atlanta, own 3 Teslas, and voted for Trump. Teslas are quite common in Georgia, which went for Trump. But, people dont buy Teslas for a political statement. They are great cars.

What I like about Tesla is the integrated software that makes it easy to use.

But engineering wise it is not as good as Honda/Toyota or even Ford/GM.

More importantly Tesla's made since 2022 are very dangerous. Cars use Vision for cruise control and safety features. If Vision fails, they have radar to act as failover. Then they have Ultrasonic sensors for very short range detection for final 3rd level safety mechanism.

So if Vision fails for some reason, the radar would act as a check and if even radar fails, the Ultrasonic sensors would act as a final check to stop the vehicle from slamming into an object.

Tesla removed the radar and ultrasonic sensors from vehicles made since 2022 as Musk felt that having these safety features made the software engineers developing the software lazy and they are not improving the system enough. In addition, these costs more money. So now, Tesla's made after 2022 are without these safety features and it dramatically increases tail risks.
