My blackout started Jan 20th. My credit card bill is the lowest it's been in a long time, and I have more money saved for when Trump finishes tanking the economy for those of us who are not billionaires.

My blackout will continue.

I'll not be shopping at Target again. I stopped shopping at Amazon in November 2024.

Over time, more people will join either due to belief or need.

This is not a one-day fight, my friend. This will go on for a long time. It's a marathon. Not a sprint.

It’s a good point. With consumer confidence and the markets down and uncertainty and inflation up, it will be difficult to discern what is intentional blackout vs people pulling back broadly because they are worried about the economy.

I am also a business owner and I’m totally okay with being rejected by MAGAs. My values mean more to me than their money.

DP. Presumably, an establishment that is more closely aligned with their beliefs. Left leaning would be progressive, believing that healthcare is a right not a privilege, a social safety net is essential, we must look out for the least of us, and that a rising tide lifts all boats.

For my part, I'm planning to buy the essentials, but none of the 'good to have' items I would otherwise be considering.

I think the issue is the enforcement of a racial/gender hierarchy for determining where to shop. How about you shop based on a business' actions and policies rather than their skin color and genitals?

Just for Target, there was quite a dip on Friday in stock price. Although this isn't 100% related, I do find this interesting.
