Feb 28 is economic blackout day

It worked! We will be retreating from capitalism and resorting to collectivism on Monday.

History would indicate that are problems are behind us. Well done.

I don’t believe this for a second. That’s not what the blackout was about. At all. You’re either making this up, or you’re being taken advantage of by MAGAs.

The point of the blackout is to divest from those who support Trump/MAGA, not to bring back 2015-style identity politics.

You don't know the point of this. People can do this the way they think best.

NP. Please explain the point of this...because I hate Trump too but you lost me as soon as PP said "...and lastly a left-leaning establishment". What exactly does that mean?

DP. Presumably, an establishment that is more closely aligned with their beliefs. Left leaning would be progressive, believing that healthcare is a right not a privilege, a social safety net is essential, we must look out for the least of us, and that a rising tide lifts all boats.

For my part, I'm planning to buy the essentials, but none of the 'good to have' items I would otherwise be considering.

I think the issue is the enforcement of a racial/gender hierarchy for determining where to shop. How about you shop based on a business' actions and policies rather than their skin color and genitals?

I guess you missed the part where this is about policies and, in some cases, actions. Were busy focusing on “genitals”?

Republicans are obsessed with genitalia and everyone’s sex life. It’s so obvious to everyone else, I’m almost embarrassed for them. So creepy.

Um, it was not a republican who signed the bill ordering tampon machines to be installed in the Boy’s bathrooms.

Now, about the whole “pronouns” nonsense . . . which party started all that??

You seem weird, PP. weird and confused.

Right so Republicans decided to alienate all of our allies, dismantle all of the federal agencies that help Americans and side with Russia and N. Korea.

No one ordered that, so it wasn't a Democrat, either.

Pronouns were started by people.

Wait, the government didn't topple overnight? All this was just a silly exercise in self-congratulatory futility?

You poor dummies. Doesn’t your mouth get tired of all that sucking?

It’s step by step, Ivan.

I think another valuable tool will be to influence institutional investors. Contact your funds people, tell them that you don’t want garbage anti-DEI Nazi companies in your portfolio. Maybe someone will come up with a Patriot Fund that excludes them.

I want funds that will make money. Yes, ideally they would be moral and principled. But do I specifically care if they support DEI? Not really. I want companies that are stable and profitable. I don’t care much beyond that.

Do you not understand the definition of protest? In-person protests are pointless against your cult because they couldn’t care less about people. So we protest with our money. Because that is the only thing they care about.

People who just wanted to respect others. That’s what bothers MAGA so much.

If they cared, there'd be concrete results. No such results = exercise in futility.

Same. And this will continue until the domestic terrorist leaves the Oval Office.

News Flash:
They already left, even the drapery dresses!

Go, Russia. Or whatever.
