Feb 28 is economic blackout day

Don’t spend period. Least of all on MAGA-owned small businesses.

My fed employee friend bought a summer house, has her DD in private school and her husband is a stay at home. Let’s not snivel about the tough times of the federal workforce.

Because no one in the entire history of the world was fired from a job. You are so special, so unique, of course you are terrified. Those wusses who saw their children blown apartment by an IEP or their house leveled by a fire or flood have no patch on the true terror in which you live.

Whoa. Not PP and not a fed but I think you get to have some anxiety when you find out your employer is going through a series of RIFs. And when you are trying to figure out how to make it work financially, you get to use a little hyperbole.

Don’t see where PP was saying, they were more terrified than people living in a war zone or in the middle of a fire. Not sure where the disproportionate response is coming from.

Sounds like you should be jealous of a trust fund, not a fed job. You do know they are paid on the GS scale?

Huh?
You don’t think it’s prudent to be extra thrifty if you may lose your job soon?

What happened to you that you are such a petty, hollowed out, hateful human being?

You'll have to wait til Leap Year to order them then.

And it’s publicly available as are the cost of houses if they’re interested in living a “fantasy”.

We should do it, just to flex.

It's funny how jealous these people are. This fed employee friend sounds like a trust fund baby who happens to have a federal job as a hobby because they like to stay busy. I know a few people like this. They aren't going to be that affected by their job loss, unlike the rest of the feds, who typically make slightly less than the average local DC salaries

This fed family has already started our economic blackout. Buying nothing but food and paying utilities from now til whenever.

Petty. You have no idea about her finances but you can look up her salary. The GS levels are not high paying. She either inherited money, married well, or invested well. You are not a very good friend. Hope she knows you are a petty, little whiny B.

Sounds amazing!

Indeed! Too bad Ben and Jerry’s refuses cash. Who else is as stupid?

We're already just spending only on groceries and our bills. Nothing more.
