SNL doesn't expect people to watch the episodes. They have it on Peacock and they have a Youtube Channel where you can watch the individual skits. The ones that are not popular end up at the bottom and may even get removed?

I am expecting the next weeks' guests are actually actors or comedians and not "just" musicians with limited stage presence.

He was announced by SNL before the Superbowl was publicly known.

And last time he was also the host along with being the musical performer. So much of what you said above is factually wrong.

I am surprised that Ego was canned because she had an especially great season last season.

Like her bits on the Weekend Update plus her character from Temecula.

Her void was felt definitely last night during all the dumb skits.

I don’t think she was canned, I believe she left on her own.

I confess I had to look up Ego since I didn't know the name, but I definitely know the face. She's iconic. What a loss.

I really would like to know the back story there. Of course she may have left for better opportunities, but without a show or movie on the horizon, that would seem unusual. (Usually they do some stuff off season to build that up before leaving.) So it sort of feels like she had a falling out with someone at the show about something....really unfortunate because I think she was one of their most talented comedians, along with Bowen and Marcello. Just great timing and the kind of person who can take even mediocre writing and make it funny with the delivery.

This is only speculation but I think she left because they fired Heidi. She’s really good friends with her, and Ego quit a few weeks after Heidi was fired.

This weekend’s show was great.

I especially enjoyed seeing Pete Davidson return - his jokes were so funny and I miss the chemistry he has with Colin Jost!

The Melissa McCartht episode was kind of disappointing - she has hosted before and been SO funny. She does look fabulous though.
