I haven’t read all of the pages of this post but I can totally relate to the title. I wasn’t going to vote in this election after voting in presidential elections for 40 years because of the horrible choices we have in front of us.

Nevertheless, I have changed my mind after the SOTC ruling on presidential immunity: I will now vote for a democrat (whomever is picked) so that Trump isn’t in power given the new rulings.

I’m just pissed that I have to do this but SOTC made my decision for me.

I’ve felt this way since 2016. I’m tired of having to vote with a gun to my head. I don’t want to vote, but I have to.

The problem is that as things stand, Trump will win. Biden is less popular than Trump (both are pretty unpopular) and perceived as doing better cognitively even though he is a psychopath. Biden makes Trump look smart and functional. That's not good. Biden needs to drop out yesterday.

What you are calling "going after political rivals" is actually law enforcement and the justice system going after criminals. It is too bad the GOP keeps nominating criminals to positions of power.

Putin invaded Ukraine, and the US is not in the war.
Hamas took hostages, and the US is not only not in the war, but Biden has apparently brokered a possible cease fire.

The US is otherwise not at war at all.
