EA is a great thing and our kid applied EA to all schools that they were interested in that had it. But not all schools have it - so if you don’t ED there, RD is the option. So even if your kid applies to a bunch of rolling and EA schools in the fall, just keep in mind that might leave others still to go. |

Good merit at dream school. |
Yes. Not all schools accept the Common App. Georgetown is one that doesn’t, IIRC. |
With the Black Common App, students can apply to 70 schools or more. |
I don’t know of any other states that do it that way. Sounds dreamy. |
There is the UC Specific application. Common App Coalition The SUNY App Some college fairs allow you to apply in person at the fair The bigger question is why |
Ontario does it as well - 1 app goes in for up to 8 colleges |
What the previous poster failed to mention is that there may be one UC application but you have to pay $70 for each school you apply to. |
We are low income and DS received fee waivers for 5 campuses, IIRC. |

| 9. He got into one school early action, converted another to ED2 and then pulled the rest of his apps when he got into the ED2 school. |

13 all EA when an option
accepted to 8 waitlisted 1 waiting 4 |
No ED? |

3 apps submitted
ED1 and 2 EA Admitted to 1 EA (safety) and admitted ED1, then pulled the second EA. Had RDs nearly ready to go but never submitted. Can't recall the exact number but it was in the 10-12 range total. It was a little odd to work so hard on so many apps and then never submit them and never know. But far better to have it work out this way. |
