I’m Sorry. 19 is absolutely ridiculous. No wonder we’re in this predicament where schools ranked 50-100 (and I’m not bashing them - almost all my DD’s apps were in this range) have 20% acceptance rates. Nobody needs to apply to this many schools. Nobody. |

Because they are clearly desperate for prestige. As are most others on this board. There’s no way that kid thoroughly researched 18 colleges and loved each one enough to apply. |

Accepted: JMU honors, s. Carolina (w merit matching Va in state) Indiana Kelly direct admit, Pitt. Waitlist: VT pamplin, Clemson Denied: UVA. Still waiting on WM RD but a reach. |
