That’s what Jane Doe(s) called him 😉 How professional. |
The central office is out in force with the counter-messaging today. |

At my school all staff call our principal by his first name. That's not unusual. |

Dear MCPS Staff,
Recently, we have received several questions about staff engagement on social media. The Social Media Best Practices for Employees is a valuable online resource for MCPS employees to guide staff in using social media and any online engagement. Social media can be a powerful tool to enhance education and learning and can help Montgomery County Public Schools (MCPS) further its mission and core values by engaging students, parents/guardians, and the community. Like in any other work activity, we are all expected to interact with all students, parents/guardians, colleagues, and the community with integrity and professionalism. It is important to remember that MCPS rules apply online as well as in our schools and workplaces. What MCPS employees say or do on social media can impact how we are viewed professionally and by our student body. With Montgomery County ranked as one of the most diverse counties in the U.S., our diverse student body and staff population represent many cultures and belief systems; even your social media activities may affect your work. You are, therefore, encouraged to be mindful of what you post online. As a reminder, our MCPS Employee Code of Conduct provides essential guidance when it says: “Conduct your private life activities (including social media activities) in a manner that is not prejudicial to your effectiveness as an MCPS employee and recognize that criminal, dishonest, and other inappropriate activities may have an adverse impact on your employment with MCPS.” Thank you for being mindful of this guidance and modeling good digital citizenship for our students. Not necessarily. Many people in many lines of work call their supervisors by their first name. |
It means that a lot of the extra money MCPS is spending on PR is being spent to spread lies here on DCUM. |
