Are antivaxxers all just contrarians and conspiracy theorists?

I found this interesting and simultaneously perplexing.

Spike protein damages the vascular system, heart, lungs and brain.

All the more reason to try to avoid a severe case of COVID.

Turning your cells into spike protein factories on purpose multiple times is mental midget territory. And then get covid anyway and make your mountain of spike protein into Mt Everest

Agree with your above statement. Was waiting for someone to illuminate the forum and this is the reason I posted. The article is from a highly prestigious institute. Glad someone figured out why I said “I found this interesting and simultaneously perplexing.” I was being facetious.

Why are you relying on science from two and a half years ago? WTAF

Hmmm, weird question… a question that doesn’t discredit the science mine you.

You know that the Salk Institute has come out saying that these vaccines are safe, that the spike protein in the vaccines is different, and that the vaccine protects against spike-protein induced endothelial injury by the virus, right?

(Right?)

Cool. Just don't force me to take it when its brand new and clinical trials aren't finished yet. I hope they work out very well.

Nobody was forced to get an "experimental" vaccine.

Ok, so what… a controlled exposure (vax) vs uncontrolled (community acquired). Unhealthy people may have benefit from VAX. My point is that perfectly healthy, younger adults (and children), don’t need it. Risk reward profile is just not there…. It’s simple math.

Package insert warnings and precautions indicate cardiovascular risk. Salk article I referenced is the reason.

You are mistaken… armed service members were forced and some private / public companies “forced” injections with threat of job loss/income. You can parse my statements with the old comeback of “armed service members signed a contract” and “jobs are an at will work relationship” nonsense. Both are nonsensical to normal reasoning pro-human “human beings”.

Drug was launched without full data set therefore no informed consent by the citizenship of the world.

So you do or don't believe the research at the Salk Institute? Because that was actually in the article you linked.

Did you not even read the article?

Manufacturing spike proteins provides an immune response to said spike protein (fact).

It doesn’t mean that it isn’t without its risks. hence cardiovascular risks are NAMED in the Package Insert.

Please try and reason through the logic.

As far as me reading? … pls.

I’ve offered much to this open forum convo.

Time for me to fly… bye!

I find the pure-bloods to be arrogant know-it-alls. Now that nobody listens to the cdc booster recommendations they have become insufferable.

But scarier than that, I think social media has essentially brainwashed relatively normal people (about vaccines, but also about plenty of other things). They watch one video, which leads to another, and another, and another, and then they’re starting to think they “know” something about the dangers of vaccines.

My sister, an educated liberal who did get the vaccine, has started sending me videos basically saying some herb is as good at preventing Covid as the vaccine. It’s idiotic, but she feels like she has “learned” from some of the videos—because they have a grain of truth that’s been distorted, for example.

Social media companies are truly messed up and have allowed this kind of nonsense not only to multiply but to brainwash relatively normal well meaning folks. Gen Z in particular has taken the brunt.

Covid vaxxer loyalists have also been brainwashed into a panic. They have 5+ shots and counting, plus covid illness st least once, oftentimes, within weeks of being boostered. They then freak out on family and friends who have had at least one and up to 3 or 4 covid shots AND covid illness at leadt once who say they are not getting further shots. If you are vaccinated up the wazoo against covid, just relax and enjoy your "much milder" covid illness and let others decide for themselves how to proceed.

I don't know anyone who is doing that.

There was an atheist professor who was doing that. But then a Christian got up in front of the class and said, "I have had no vaccines and yet I do not have COVID." The professor was ashamed. And everyone clapped.

I'm not getting the reference? A book?

It's " everyone clapped" meme.

The same could be said for those who refuse to even discuss potential vaccine side effects and efficacy issues. Talk about thinking in binary, all or nothing terms.

Right, there was no nuance on either side. The CDC is still pushing vaccines and boosters for toddlers and other young kids, which is dumb.

Yes, it's "dumb" because you say so. Great argument.

The US is an outlier on such things as vaccinating young kids and forcing masking on toddlers.

Do you think vaccinating 2 year-olds made any quantifiable difference to the trajectory of the pandemic and/or the health of those kids?
