+1 Will Smith isn't some innocent party here. He's a shark who elbowed people out of the way to get top billing and f**ked over many, many people to get where he is. It's incredibly naive to think that Will Smith's success came from talent alone. Seriously? Drama schools are overflowing with talent. If you were to see some drama school students who work hard but have no fame, you'd be a bit awestruck at how good they are at acting, how many versatile stage and film skills they've developed. I know many people who tried to get into the industry; it's NOT just talent. Family/friend connections, grift, and escorting/casting couch are common ways to get in. And if you're not a big star or you don't have rich parents, you'll likely do sex work in between endless auditions to pay your rent. This DOES happen, I've heard about it personally. So it's not just talent. I know amazing actors who work very, very hard and don't make it to the big leagues. Will Smith had to have screwed people over to get to the A-list because frankly, I think most A-listers do that. I don't particularly feel sorry for him. My actor friends would've done so much with Will Smith's opportunities, and they wouldn't have been braying like donkeys about their private relationships. He's a disgrace as much as Jada is. |
Jada doesn't have a communication problem and you don't have to feel sorry for her. It's deliberate. She has honed the art of b*llsh*tting to get people's attention, confuse them, and make them feel what she wants them to feel...which is some sense of affinity or liking for her. I see through her game, I had a narc mom and work in a field that attracts narcs. Jada Smith is communicating exactly the way she means to communicate. She wants to pretend she's giving you tea, but actually give you nothing. Her smiling mask and "spiritual" eye gazes are eerily good, I can see why people get taken in. She's just using her acting chops in RL because she couldn't get roles. |
| PP, you sound very angry. |
+1 I’m the daughter of an addict and very familiar with this tactic. She is a gaslighter as well. |
+1 |
I don’t know about that. It’s not hard to see how he became famous. He’s good-looking, talented (in music, acting, and comedy), and famously charismatic. IMO, he is legitimately a mostly self-made success. He and Jazzy Jeff had already built up a local buzz in the Philly area through live performances at parties when they got a big record deal. They had a couple of national hit songs years before Fresh Prince came out. |
| I will once again take this opportunity to point out Alphonso should have been the big star, not Will. Love you Alphonso! Jada=Attention Ho. |
Yes! I saw one video where J was talking to W in their home, and it is eerily similar to the narc in my family. Word for word almost. |
Alfonso |
I always thought so too! As an added bonus, I know nothing about Alfonso Ribeiro's personal shenanigans and like it that way. Now I'm going to go watch the Carlton dance and wistfully think about what could've been. |
I have nothing against Alfonso. But even back in the 80s, before the Fresh Prince even existed, Will Smith was already a star from rap career. He didn’t take anything from Alfonso. If anything, Will Smith boosted his career. |
| She holds his sexuality as a secret and he is fearful of being outed and losing his career |
He’s already lost his career with the slap. And in today’s world it doesn’t matter especially since he doesn’t play many romantic roles. If he’s gay he would come out. |
| Who are these people? |
Don’t pretend to not know who Will Smith is, please. |
