So they’ve been separated for years, but she just recently moved out? Not sure why I’m so interested in their lives right now, but I’m fascinated by this train wreck.
This is so bizarre. Jade (LIVE on the Today show) just said they are working on getting back together. But she minces her words which is quite annoying. Hoda had to ask her for clarification several times.
YES!! She says so much, but it actually turns out to be nothing at all.
Both of their kids speak this way too. Will sometimes does it but he has more ability to be direct. He also is more likely to use humor in communication which is more effective. I do feel bad for her though because these communication tendencies are very likely the result of abuse, neglect, other trauma, and then years of therapy. I have a bit of this myself. I can communicate very effectively in writing but I really struggle with talking to people about myself or my feelings. So many layers of shame and fear of punishment or judgment, conditioned into me at a very young age. But I've made a very conscious effort to at least learn to communicate clearly and plainly with my kid so that she learns to express herself in straightforward ways, and so far that has worked.
Jada doesn't have a communication problem and you don't have to feel sorry for her. It's deliberate. She has honed the art of b*llsh*tting to get people's attention, confuse them, and make them feel what she wants them to feel...which is some sense of affinity or liking for her. I see through her game, I had a narc mom and work in a field that attracts narcs. Jada Smith is communicating exactly the way she means to communicate. She wants to pretend she's giving you tea, but actually give you nothing. Her smiling mask and "spiritual" eye gazes are eerily good, I can see why people get taken in. She's just using her acting chops in RL because she couldn't get roles.
+1 I’m the daughter of an addict and very familiar with this tactic. She is a gaslighter as well.
Yes! I saw one video where J was talking to W in their home, and it is eerily similar to the narc in my family. Word for word almost.
