THIS! It was good and innovative 20 years ago. Not worth it now. I also think they are Trump supporters. |
Yikes! |

Kramer’s
People always want to meet up there for brunch. It sucks and the cost is beyond ridiculous. |
Hate matchbox. Portions are small, prices are high and the food isn’t even good. I remember when there were huge lines. Not Anymore. Average at best. |
Has anyone been to the McLean location? The decor is not good -- it's like a slight upgrade in a place that used to be a fast food place, or maybe, at best, a Denny's or something. Food was average at best. |
The Willard has tea. It’s like $100/person. |
Ha! Me too. Pop tarts, tomato soup, grilled cheese. Way overpriced Crappy diner food. It’s not even good, nothing special. |
I'm so disappointed by how far downhill they have gone over the years. I used to love eating there and they are very close to my home. Their hours are also now weird and unpredictable. They used to be open almost 24 hrs and now they often look closed at 8pm when I walk by. |
+1 |
Hate Sisters Thai. It’s Thai food for white people who have not idea what real Thai food tastes like. The pad Thai is fluorescent orange. Hated everything there. And pricey. |
| Thompson Italian in Falls Church. All the 40-50yr olds we know think it’s the definition of “date night” so we finally went and were disappointed. It was fine, but nothing special. |
I’ll say that we have gone twice in January and the quality has been good. We had stopped going bc it had gone so downhill, but I needed a quick catering order of guacamole for a school thing and also picked up dinner. It was all surprisingly good so we grabbed it again last week and equally good. I miss the salsa bar but will still return |
+1 Terrible food and pretentious service |
| Huh, I am into raskia. It is what it is and it’s good. Sorry. I also really like sisters Thai and the lunch menu is like $15 for an app and entree so it’s not pricey, actually. Thai is really hit or miss here and it’s mainly miss so I’d be interested to hear what you think is okay. Le Dip is fine. It’s like Starbucks. You get what you expect. |

I'm always amazed when someone claims DC is a "world-class food city." Uh, no. Not by a long, long, LONG shot.
And what's the deal with Tom Sietsema? Never failed to be disappointed when I try the places he raves about. |
