No - bc then the attack on the older couple doesn’t make sense. He became infected and sat on the bed for hours? Bc within 1-2 hours the head is infected per the signs. |
It was a bite on the lower leg. |
What attack on what older couple? The neighbors at the beginning? Wasn't the elderly woman who was infected sitting in her chair for hours and hours before she attacked them? Hadn't she been exposed the day before (at the hospital downtown where others seemed to be getting exposed?). Where are you getting that the head is infected within 1-2 hours? Also, wouldn't you assume some variation in development of symptoms and full infection, as with anything else? Certain bodies are more receptive to a virus, others might have some higher resistance that puts up more of a fight before being overcome. Human bodies are not completely identical. |
If you like Pedro Pascal- NARCOS! He played a great character in it. |
I think maybe he was still in the process of “turning” and being deaf, he didn’t hear her. DP |
+1 Pedro Pascal is excellent and I had never really been aware of him before. I love that he’s also comedically gifted, as seen on SNL. And he is a beautiful man!! The Walking Dead was never a show about zombies either - it was about the relationships of the humans living in that world. My husband had to convince me to watch that and that’s what he said that finally sold it. The zombies, in both TWD and The Last of Us, are just the backdrop to demonstrate human nature in the face of horror/trauma/apocalypse. Huge fan of both The Road (utterly horrifying) and Children of Men. |
Near the beginning of the series, there were signs up. If you paused and read them, it should how, if you were infected, it attacked you from head to toe. https://www.reddit.com/r/thelastofus/comments/109fnnq/poster_seen_at_hbo_premier_new_infection_details/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=ios_app&utm_name=iossmf I misremembered it. Clearly his leg bite would be 12-24 hours so he would have just turned. |
The actor who plays Sam, Kevionn Woodard, is from PG County. He’s local. |
I cried at the end of episode 5. I had a tough day and Sam reminds me of my own son (he's not deaf, but has some challenges while also having the most tender sweet side).
That ending was just too much for me. I sobbed like a baby. My wife was shocked. |
Came here to say just this. Agreed as to both. TWD was my fave show EVER. The Last of Us is becoming a fave as well. I freaking LOVE Pedro Pascal. I love the story. Everything. I also know, after watching both, I'd never survive either of these scenarios: No survival skills, no skills with weapons, I can't eat the rotten crap they eat (I'd starve), and I'd not be able to leave my pets behind (and the hound dogs would make enough noise to draw a horde to me on day 1). LOL. |
IMO TWD lost its way a bit but generally agree, particularly about the early seasons. |
Most shows on for a decade lose their way at some point. People leave (actors and producers). But, not to hijak, I don't think it was as bad as people made it out to be. |
Agree (I'm the poster in bold above) - it was fantastic up until the whole "Kingdom" nonsense. I still watched all seasons, but it definitely was far better early on. |
+1 |
I now have a crush on Pedro Pascal, just like I did years ago on David Duchovny, the delectable Agent Mulder. |
