What attack on what older couple? The neighbors at the beginning? Wasn't the elderly woman who was infected sitting in her chair for hours and hours before she attacked them? Hadn't she been exposed the day before (at the hospital downtown where others seemed to be getting exposed?).

Where are you getting that the head is infected within 1-2 hours? Also, wouldn't you assume some variation in development of symptoms and full infection, as with anything else? Certain bodies are more receptive to a virus, others might have some higher resistance that puts up more of a fight before being overcome. Human bodies are not completely identical.[/quote]
