Ep 1 not too bad, but yes, it looks like it will be very violent/gory.

I really enjoyed the pilot. Pedro Pascal is perfect as Joel. I’m excited to watch him and Bella Ramsey since I read their chemistry is one of the best parts of the show. It followed the game accurately so far.

I generally hate horror movies and shows. I’ll watch Stranger things but parts of it haunt me for a long time. I had trouble sleeping last night after the pilot. I kept seeing the scene in the cul de sac. If stranger things is too scary for you then this will be too. If GoT is too gory, I would assume zombies eating people will be too much for you.

These zombies are definitely scarier than TWD ones.

Haven’t played the game, but enjoyed the first episode. I like a well thought out zombie movie (28 Days Later) or book (World War Z, Girl With All the Gifts) so I hope this stays good.

NOT A GAME PLAYER

Pilot was underwhelming and too many tropes that we've seen before. But we will keep watching.

I am sad that they killed off the young African American girl in episode one. I enjoyed watching her and was kind of thinking that she was going to be my favorite character. Who is she? Great actress!

I agree she was excellent, looks just like her mom Thandiwe when she smiles!

Same. The first game was incredible. The second one made no sense. I loved playing the first one. Can’t believe it’s been 10 years since it came out back on PS3.

Clicker or Bloater?
Or shambler from part 2?

I liked the first episode. Have never played the game and had zero expectations going in.

SPOILERS FROM FIRST EPISODE, CAN'T SAY I DIDN'T WARN YOU

I found it shocking when Sarah died. It's a testament to the actress and the show's development of her character that I was as upset as I was -- I know that's the whole point because they want you to be as upset about her death as Joel is so that you understand who he is after the time jump. But I didn't expect to be surprised by *yet another* zombie show and that part did surprise me so kudos to the show.

I will keep watching even if some of it does feel like a retread of other movies and shows, including the very recent The Last Man. I liked the first episode, plus I have quite a bit of faith in co-showrunner Craig Main (also did Chernobyl plus a lot of other stuff) so I will stick around to see where they take it.

Pedro Pascal and Ana Torv are a good casting pairing. He is someone who is good at creating complex but sympathetic characters, and she is good at creating complex but prickly characters. I think the characters will be a good balance to each other. I also just really like both actors -- big fan of her on Fringe and Mindhunters.

So far, I find Bella Ramsey's character kind of annoying and I don't love the "teen with an attitude" trope. However, I loved her on GoT where she had pretty minimal screen time but did a lot with it. Hoping to see more depth from her character pretty quickly.

Fast zombies stress me out, watching 28 Days Later was a traumatic event for me I'm still not quite over, so my interest in the show has to override that and so far it does. It helped that they gave us a break from the zombie chasing after the sequence in Austin.

Nico Parker is British and mixed race.

I am finding this so boring. Just finished ep 2 and disappointed.

Still throughly unimpressed. This is still the same zombie show that has been done 10000x times already. Nothing new after ep 2.

Ep. 2 was much grosser and scarier and also [MAJOR SPOILER ALERT]…

Was not expecting Ana Torv to die so soon and am bummed because I like her and don’t get Bella Ramsay’s character yet.
