| I think they are timeless, my aunt got them in the 1980s and wore them until she passed away this past spring. |
| Meh |
I’ve read of some peoples who had ones that tarnished
|
Those peoples were fakes or replicas. Genuine Cartier love bangles do not tarnish. |
There’s plenty on wear and tear on YouTube. It does happen. |
|
I have one I've been wearing since 2012 and once I've been wearing since 2018. They are still both in GREAT shape, they do not tarnish, yes they'll scratch, like any gold will.
What else is on your wrist? I thjnk they look best next to a watch. I don't like them single on an arm. Draws less attention. They blend well next to a watch and make for a great "stack" |
NP. Yep. I hate to use the word "nouveau" but sometimes it's inescapable. |
PS and before anybody tears into me, I have other Cartier items, like a necklace from my grandmother that's probably worth three times this bracelet. |
| hahaha, I just read through this thread with great amusement. Is someone trolling Meghan Markle, who still wears the Cartier Love bracelet her ex-husband (Trevor) gave her? |
| To all the people saying that the Love bangles are "tacky" or "trashy"... I'm confused. They are objectively a fairly minimalist piece of jewelry. Do I think that they are overpriced for what they are? No doubt! You can get a similar gold bangle for 1/3 the price, but this doesn't make the piece in poor taste. Maybe some of the people who wear them are trashy, but the piece itself is bordering on blandly understated. |
I would love an AMA from the women who are so obsessed with Meghan Markle they bring her up at every single opportunity. |
Yes, absurd to be a copycat at this age. (and at that price) |
I had to double check to make sure I had posted anonymously, because, interestingly, my name is Blaire. I didn't buy my own Love bracelet, my husband did. Okay, you win at American idioms. Forgive me, I'm Canadian. I'll keep winning at beauty, fashion, and getting people to buy me bracelets.
|
Now that they have become staples (obviously I mean for the wealthy), it doesn't matter who buys it. |
Should she stop wearing it? That would be a complete waste. |
