Cartier love bangles

They are basic and totally played out for sure.

However the real reason not to get the Love bracelet is they aren't very sturdy (yes the gold weight is very solid and pleasing but the screws etc aren't the most secure) and Cartier's customer service is very bad. I bought a juste un clou in Dubai on holiday and the spring mechanism wasn't working properly just weeks later. I took it into a local boutique mere weeks after buying it and they flat out refused to fix it for free which shocked me, given the price of the item and how new it was. They also talked down to me and made me feel cheap and small. They did send it for repair that I had to pay for (!!!) but never again.

If you want trendy go with Van Cleef or Tiffany or Bulgari, not Cartier.

You are missing the point. This particular piece of jewelry is meant to be a gift. It has a lock and a special screwdriver for your partner to put it on and take it off. OP is welcome to buy herself any other piece of jewelry, but it's pathetic for her to buy this one that is meant to a gift just because her friends have it. She should convince her husband to buy it for her.

NP. No, you are missing the point. That was the practice when they first came out (back when Cartier only sold them as pairs). That changed long, long ago.

OP, buy your damn bracelet and put it on yourself if you want. (I put mine on by myself when necessary. Just rest your wrist on a table or dresser and go slowly with the screwdriver.)

Lol, how ridiculously gimmicky.

Exactly. It’s pure marketing BS, which is even more of a turnoff than the appearance of the bracelet.

It’s pathetic that you are so emotionally invested in Cartier’s marketing gimmick.

It's so fascinating and blaringly obvious when people wander into this thread from "recent topics." They don't have a beautiful or fashionable bone in their bodies, but they feel compelled to comment, provide guidance, and critique. Don't ever change lol

It’s not “blaringly” obvious to me what opinion you have on the Cartier Love bangle or OP’s questions. Could you please be more specific? I came to this thread via Recent Topics and am prepared to be educated by beautiful-, fashionable-boned posters like you.

I used to like the Love bracelet until a few years ago when I saw a pair of 13-14 year old girls getting manicures at the table next to me who were both wearing the bracelet.

Op - you may be better served asking questions like this on purse forum, see link below. This site is organized by luxury brand and has lots of brand enthusiasts that engage. Feedback may be from likeminded people with interest in the brand versus dcurbanmom who shuns wasting money on luxury brands.

I just went trough pictures of the bracelet on this forum and I don’t get the obsession, it doesn’t look expensive even. What so special about this bracelet? And I am the one who is happy to splurge.

LOL!!!

It's "blaringly" obviously that you're the type of girl who "would of" bought herself a Cartier love bracelet.

Please do change and learn yourself some English, Blaire.

It’s totally fine if you don’t get it, to each their own. I don’t know why people get so invested in other peoples preferences. I personally prefer a diamond tennis bracelet but that’s just me, I’m sure others find them tacky and I do not care.

Well tennis bracelet is beautiful and doesn’t depend on the brand. Now if this bracelet was made by I dk Michael Kors would people still buy it?
