Bump. Anyone following this case? Just wondering because I haven't been following the updates.

Apparently she is still on the loose! https://www.bicycling.com/news/a40106544/kaitlin-armstrong-new-york-mo-wilson-shot-killed-austin-texas-arrest-warrant/

May be armed with a bicycle and a handgun.

So a murderer with clear images and videos of her appearance, tracked through airport security, and still free. Okay.

White privilege.

That is so weird. Because she blended in with other white people? That you can't tell one white person from another so she gets away? Or are you our resident "everything is racist and white privilege" poster and just throwing it out there because, well, that's what you do regardless of if it applies?

DP. No, because she was called in for questioning after her boyfriend's lover was murdered and they had photo-evidence of her car at the scene of the murder at the time of the murder AND STILL LET HER GO. Not only that - no jail or bond/bail requiring her to stay local. So she was allowed to hop on a cross-country plane as a flight suspect and a murderer. Imagine finding out you sat on that plane from Austin to NYC and your seatmate had shot someone in cold-blood within the same 24-hour period.

That is privilege. Specifically due to her race and gender.

Yes. New development today, by the Us Marshals.

The Marshals have now recommended: she turn herself in.

No word yet on a response.

Have the US Marshals ever recommended continuing to run?

Right???

Am I the only one who assumes she traveled and shot herself somewhere isolated? Like that Florida boy.

I am surprised this isn't getting more attention even here in Austin.

That’s by far the likeliest outcome.

We'd like you to come in, but given how long you've been on the lam your odds are 60/40 so we'd be dishonest if we didn't advise you to make a run for it.

Nothing excuses Armstrong murdering another human being. But Strickland is morally culpable here. He cheated, lied, and gaslit Armstrong for years. It's her fault for staying, but he preyed on her and helped make her crazy.

This isn’t funny in the least. What’s wrong with you?

What does it even mean? Don’t get it.

+1

I hope he feels horrible for his role in this. Yeah, the killer is responsible for her choice to commit murder, but he deserved her rage way more than the "other woman".

^^ crazy

Crazy to say that? Really? First off it’s a bad thing to do. But people are unpredictable and jealous so I wouldn’t mess with a situation like this. I didn’t say anyone deserved to be killed. Just that it’s risky behavior.

Crazy to have that attitude.

Hope you’re not in a relationship with anyone. Could be deadly.

+1 PP is basically saying that the crazy killer owned the man and no one should ever go out with him for that reason?

Here is the guy at the center of it all in an interview a week before the murder

He's really not that cute at all. Not worth the killer's trouble. I feel like he's a cheating sociopath who helped make her crazy over the years. And she's so much better-looking than he is. Ugh.

I am reeling from grieving Mo Wilson's death and from the facts that have emerged during the investigation. I cannot begin to imagine the pain felt by Mo's family and her close friends.

There is no way to adequately express the regret and torture I feel about my proximity to this horrible crime. I am sorry and I simply cannot make sense of this unfathomable tragedy.

Although it will be a matter of small consolation to anyone else who cared for Mo, I want you to know that I have cooperated fully with investigators ever since I learned the terrible news and I will continue to do so until some form of justice is served.

As a point of clarification to facts previously reported, Moriah Wilson and I had a brief romantic relationship from late October-early November 2021 that spanned a week or so while Wilson was visiting Austin.

At the time, she and I had both recently ended relationships. She returned to her home in California and about a month later, Kaitlin Armstrong and I reconciled and resumed our relationship.

Since then I often so Mo at cycling events, and always in public settings. We both competed in Bentonville, AR, Stillwater and Monterrey, CA. We also met for a 4-hour training ride in Santa Cruz after the Sea Other (sic) Classic in Monterrey.

After our brief relationships in October of 2021, we were not in a romantic relationship, only a platonic and professional one. It was not my intention to pursue along an auxiliary romantic relationship that would mislead anyone. Moriah and I were both leaders in this lonely, niche sport of cycling, and I admired her greatly and considered her a close friend. I am deeply grieving her loss.

He’s so full of sh*t. If his “friendship” with the woman who was killed was above board he wouldn’t have had to lie to his girlfriend.

What did he lie about?

DP. He told the murderer he was going for a bike ride or something instead he was at a popular swimming pool in Austin with the victim.
Yes. He also said his cell phone battery had died to explain why Armstrong couldn't reach him.

Shady cheater is shady.

According to this CNN story, she had a warrant for an unrelated misdemeanor and police were holding her for that, but let her go because of a discrepancy between her birthdate in the police computer system and on the warrant. Which makes ZERO sense.

And then they didn't keep an eye on her?

Story also says she flew from Austin to Houston to La Guardia and was then at Newark airport, but there were no reservations in her name.

Women don't commit suicide by gun very often. She also didn't fly with a gun IMHO.

How the heck did she get out of the country in someone else’s name? This is wild. I wonder if “Kaitlin Armstrong” is not her birth name.

Why do you think she has left the country?
