Our kids should learn about good dating habits as a part of sex education.

Women should not go on dates with men who are taken.

He probably lied to her! JFC And even if he didn't, it's NOT THE VICTIM'S FAULT.

Probably so -- at minimum, a lie by omission, but probably outright lies. I am victim blaming but wish she would have ceased all communication with this guy. At minimum, she knew that Armstrong was calling her and telling her that Armstrong was the one dating Strickland and to stay away from him, according to Strickland and the witness referred to as "Jane" in the affidavit. She also knew that Armstrong had followed her on Instagram. Hindsight is 20/20, but maintaining a relationship, even a friendship, with Strickland was not worth her life.

Edited to add *not* victim blaming.

Oh honey. Was reading along and thinking well, at least she owns her victim blaming.

There's a large swatch of gray between victim blaming and wishing the victim had been smarter. But I think you stuck close to victim blaming.

Curious why you would say that? Hypothetically, would you not advise your daughter to move on, if you knew the details of Armstrong repeatedly calling her and blocking her number?

And I never said I wished she had been "smarter." Your words.

Typical. Also typical: two attractive women giving their power away to an ugly, manipulative guy. I swear I don't know what either of them saw in him.

True, and he is the only one able to go on living freely after that. I did see that at least one of his sponsors has dropped him.

We can't arrest people for lying.

May be able to be charged with something related to lying during his interview about the extent of his relationship w the victim, but doubt they will bother, as they ID'd the suspect, and his lie didn't change the course of the investigation.

Seriously, I hope his entire social circle has ditched him forever. It's good that his sponsors have dropped him. This guy needs to be a pariah for the rest of his life.

I guarantee he'll be living in Colorado or Vermont with a family and a baby in 3 years with new friends.

People always say flee south of the border but every country in South America has extradition treaties with the U.S.
